Is there any way to lighten hair after color,I heard once lemons but i think thats for highlights isnt it....

A hot oil treatment will strip some of the color. It's the healthiest way to do it.

Dawn dish soap will remove some of the color.

Wow, you know I'm not so sure about your question regarding the chair rail. Of course typical height from what I understand is 32-36 inches depending on chair height and such, but for this situation, that's a good question. The concern I would have about putting it too much higher would be a matter of proportion and how pleasing to the eye that would be. If 36 inches is still too low, you may want to consider doing a separate thread and asking what heights other people ended up with when doing something similar. In regards to color for the rail, that is totally up to you, but I wouldn't worry about matching it to the furniture. I would want to match the rail with the trim and doors because it looks more cohesive. Glad you like the polk-a-dot idea, just keep them sparce, it won't take a lot to give it that fun look.

Try one wall (the wall behind the headboard) in satin black .... Then do the other walls in : Twilight Magenta 2074-30 Benjamin Moore Do lamps (table and standing) and grouping of photo frames in black with lime green mats. Add a full-length mirror with a black-painted frame. Add a large bulletin board with black-painted corkboard.

I think a soft peach would be very nice. You could accent with green tending towards olive vs a more kiddie green. And it would look great with the bedding and window coverings. SW Quaint Peche (from Houzz)

I have a 6yr old DD and her room is painted Old Rose Glaze by Pittsburgh Paints (Lowes) on upper walls with white wainscotting below. And I am getting ready to paint an old desk for her in BM Sweet Caroline. The rest of the room is decorated in pinks,purples and greens.. I will say that the ORG has a slight purple look to it. Happened to me once, I washed with Prell twice a day, that stripped some color.

Color Oops Extra Strength Hair Color Remover.

I saw it at our local drug store, and at Walgreens. Worth a try.

Call the company & ask them--I used Nice & Easy & it was toooooo dark--called them & they said I could get a lighter color to put on, I did & it worked--

Loreal recommends the hot oil treatment. That's how I know from back in the day when I did my hair at home.

This really happened to me. I colored my hair golden blond at home and didn't like the color. So I went to the beauty supply store and bought something called "color remover". I thought it would restore my hair to its natural original color. NOT. It stripped it to a nasty gray-white. I headed to the nearest beauty salon and the operator said "You've ruined your hair." She applied an ash blond toner or rinse which then turned my hair gray. I hated it! Took about a year till my own hair grew out.Now I only have my hair professionally colored.

Sometimes I pick the wrong color and my hair is too dark. But I know that it will lighten back up within a month, so I don't do anything about it. It doesn't seem to matter what color I choose, by the time it is time to recolor, it always seems to end up the same color.

If it's just a couple shades too dark, I'd just let it be... It will fade and you'll become used to it. I seem to remember dandruff shampoo bringing some color out...although the hot oil treatment sounds like a good idea.... but I wouldn't mess with it too much... Give it a few weeks and go to a hair dresser to recolor it or have them add some hi-lights if you still can't live with it.
