Paper towels.

My friends daughter is a doctor and she read in one of her medical documents that the air dryers were not sanitary. They pick up filth from the floor and incubate it inside the warm dryer than we dry our hands with it. You do not see them in new medical facilities anymore.

I've read the same nasty information about air dryers. I try to avoid them.

I prefer paper towels but can deal with the air dryers.

What I refuse to touch are those old fashioned ones where the same piece of material just keeps coming back around, having dried by the time it's back to the front. Now those things are disgusting. I don't trust that other people have washed their hands well enough to keep those things free from germs.

The older style ones only LOOK like it's coming back around! They're not being recycled that way! LOL They're one large roll that you go through, then it gets replaced. Pulls off one end and the other end gets drawn up into a separated compartment. Actually it's a very good system. Not like your home bathroom reusing the same towel if that's the fear.

I've always preferred paper towels or the cloth roll but the blowers are ok as long as I don't have to touch the door handle when I'm leaving. Then I definitely want something to cover my hand.

Paper towels. You can always use it to open the door, too. Some places even have a waste can outside the door for that.

The majority of dryers don't blow hard enough to dry your hands anyway. We got a new Target here recently and they only have blow dryers but it REALLY blows hard and dries well.

I like using paper towels because if I have to use my hands to open the door or turn off a light, I always use the towel to do that before throwing it away. Some ppl dont wash their hands & I might as well not wash my hands if I touch everything dirty afterwards...JMHO

I never use blow driers becuase of what Stargazzer said.

Actually I rarely wash my hands in a public restroom because I try very hard not to touch anything in there.

If I have to wash my hands I will wipe on my pants rather than use a blow dryer. But then I will probably not wash my hands if there are no towels because the faucet is the germiest thing in the room. I like the new auto faucets when they work.

I carry wipes with me for hand cleaning after I've exited the restroom.

What bugs me is the people that use 2 or 3 paper towels each time, when one is enough to dry your hands. They are so wasteful that most of the towel thrown in the container is still dry.

I hate the ones dispensing a paper towel if you, supposedly, wave your hands in front of it. I don't think I have enough wiggle in my fingers to get it started! But I certainly prefer paper towels.

I prefer the strong blow dryers, even though I know they're not as sanitary. For better or for worse, I don't worry much about germs, but I hate the mess that paper towels make.

You just have to pass your hand in front of the ones I have used. They don't give out enough at one time, so if the restroom is not crowed I wave "at" the other also and have two sheets.

Usually paper towels. Most blow dryers take f o r e v e r and I end up wiping my hands on my pants (and letting my kids wipe their hands on my pants). But like joann said, those super power dryers... those are nice! I've only come across a couple, but my hands are dry in 3 seconds, no mess. That I like!

Honestly, germs in normal situations very rarely enter my thoughts. I flush with my foot, that's the extent of my worry.

Probably paper, but I don't worry about it.

No preference. If people would learn to wad paper towels up in a small ball before throwing them in the trash, the trash cans wouldn't get full to over flowing as fast.

You don't really believe that do you? Or were you just kidding? Sometimes I can't tell when people are just joking around.

The machines have a CLEAN roll inserted that is many feet long. As the towel is used it is wound on an empty spindle. When the clean one runs out it is replaced with another clean roll. The dirty roll is removed and and empty spindle is put in its place to which the end of the clean tool is attached.

I prefer those cloth hand towels. They don't wind up all over the floor and sinks like paper ones do. People have been known to throw the paper hand towels in the toilet thus clogging them.

The air blowers blow germs all over the room and you have to stand there forever waiting to get the hands dry while people wait behind you to use them.
