When I get to craving chocolate I go to my favorite ice cream place and get their Chocolate Lovers Trash, which includes peanuts, slivers of chocolate.

I like chocolate, but cannot have it or coffee. So stick to things like jelly beans, spice drops etc. But when I do have anything with chololate, it is the York mini candies with the mint inside. Then I eat 1 and that is all I need. But the I use to make a box of See's Candies last for weeks.

Maye once a month I might have a small piece of candy. Not a big candy eater but do like it. Love Almond Joy and Mounds.

Not so much, we had a friend who worked for a lady who made homemade chocolates. I loved the chocolate covered cherries which so soaked in booze for 2 weeks. They were so good. My husband loves chocolate, we even have a drawer in the fridge that is full of candy bars (always).

Really very litte in the way of a sweet tooth here. If there is candy in the house I might eat it, but I don't want it bad enough to think to buy it. I do keep chocolate Haagen Dazs in the freezer (the one brand, one flavor) and feel fine/satisfied with 2 or three bites if the urge strikes me.

Salty or savory snacks are another answer. Chips and dip, french fries, something like chicken fried steak and country gravy....gotta keep my distance. Or things high in dairy fat, love sauces cooked with cream, cream in coffee - and I've a doctor who insists my hdl/ldl total stays below 130! So I leave those alone except for about one day a week too.

The older I get, the less candy I crave. That doesn't mean I don't have a sweet tooth, but it seems to have shifted to desserts.

I also crave salty snacks.

About a quarter of a century ago (gosh, that makes me sound really old, doesn't it?) I first tasted chocolate covered potato chips. Man, I thought I was in heaven. The three basic food groups: sweet, salty, and greasy!

I more of a salty snack person then a sweet snack person. I like popcorn, chips, sunflower seeds, etc.

If I do crave candy, it's always chocolate, especially chocolate/peanut butter combo. I can take or leave all of the "fruit" flavored things. Every great once in awhile I'll crave a cinnamon bear or a sour gummy something or other, but very rarely.

Potato chips are my number one addiction.
I love candy, but mainly the all sugar kinds with fruity flavors. I eat chocolate, but rarely crave it.

Not really...EXCEPT for stale Marshmallow Peeps(the flat bunny ones) that are sold around Easter. It's a serious addiction, and I thank God that they are only for sale for a few weeks.

The rest of the year - the only candy I might eat once or twice a year is a Lindt white chocolate truffle.

After losing almost 50 lbs the past year, I really don't want to eat much of any sweets.

I have learned to do with candy the way I do with most sweets. If I want candy, I buy a mini-pack of something, or a candy bar. And I try to limit those purchases. I remember Richard Simmons often saying that an open box of cookies in his house is an empty box of cookies.

Yes, I love all types of candy. Currently I am obsessed with sour jelly beans.

I don't like licorice, gummies or anything sour.. and I can usually live without the standard (think Walmart candy aisle) chocolate stuff, but I love a high quality fancy chocolate. However I can get addicted at times to plain M&M's and chocolate raisins so I try to avoid those.

I like Hershey Almond Bars, Pay Day candy bars,
Bit O Honey's, and French Burnt peanuts. Homemade
caramels are a favorite too!

I also like Jelly Belly, funny because usually I don't care for jelly beans...

Not so much anymore. At first I thought it might be because I was getting older. But the fact is that they have messed with the formulas so much that candy isn't like it used to be. Many US candy companies have been bought by Canada, Lifesavers for one. Now the flavors are all wrong and even the packaging and size of them are wrong. Hershey's uses different proportions of cocoa butter these days. The center chocolate layer has been removed from the Rocky Road candy bar. UNO Bars used to have a unique someone nutty (hazelnut?) flavor. Now they are indistinguishable from a Three Musketeers. Even See's candy had restructured their product line and not for the better IMO.

Most nostalgic candy are poor clones of their former selves. May appeal to those who never had the real thing but not to me.

I still like gumdrops,spice drops and fruit slices. Red Vines seem to have stayed the same. Twizzlers are disgusting. Swedish Fish (the larger ones) are good. I would love to have a box of 50s/60s era Milk Duds. Back then the chocolate was softer and creamier, not the harder shiny coating they are glazed with today.

So while I do eat candy more times than not it disappoints me. Generally I will just go into a candy store like Godiva or See's and buy a couple of pieces.

Well Yes. My favorite candy bar is probably a Heath---I like toffee-type bars. I also love chocolate-covered raisins & black & pink jelly beans...not Jelley-Bellies, just the old cheapo ones. And of course a Chocolate Truffule anytime.

Yes, I do, and for that reason I rarely have it in the house. If I crave something sweet, a prune or two will satisfy me.

Not so much these days... I used to bake allll of the bread for our use and to give away... but found after Bob passed away, that I was alone so much in the evening and so would toast the bread and eat it with home made jams, jelly or some crunchy peanut butter... That combined with severe stenosis at my 3-5 lumbar and a bulging disc.. well that made walking my daily 2 miles and up impossible.. so of course my weight went up 27 lbs in short order... not good at all..

Sweets don't get me going... but home made breads sure do..

I did when I was younger, not so much now, mostly because I'm diabetic and candy is poison. ;) But I do have a mouthful of semi-sweet chocolate chips once in a while if my blood sugar allows.

I like it, but not a must-have.
However....I AM sitting here trying the new Jolly Rancher Crunch N Chew. Pretty good.

I love peppermint patties. I can't stop eating them if I have them in the house. Another one is licorish allsorts.
Now I am wanting these but they are off limits now.

My name is petra, and I'm a chocoholic. :o) I love Cadbury's, Milka, Lindt and Ritter Sport.
However, chocolate has increased in price tremendously lately and I am only willing to buy when it's on sale, which is great for my waistline. Hubby can take or leave chocolate, but loves Good & Plenties. He cannot have them around the house because he will eat the entire box within a few mins. So he limits himself to a box every couple of months.

Oh Dolly I just threw away a bag of licorice allsorts. Can't stand them. I like Twix bars but I can live without candy. I love baked stuff like cookies, cakes and pies. I go crazy if there isn't a bag of cookies around.
