Woohoo, Marti! Good for you. As usual I got sidetracked from my projects when DH was off on Sunday. He always seems to start his own projects that require my help! Sunday it was 6 hours to install a new ceiling fan in our bedroom when the old one was working just fine.

But...I'm off Thurs & Fri and I'm going to sew all day!

Well, even though I've been sidetracked and working on other projects, I got ONE of my goals done! My goal was to do one of the pp bunnies for an Ester tablerunner, and here it is...with two clovers done too! (I cheated on the clovers and instead of adding bias stems, I zigzagged them)

Thanks. Them clovers were stinkers to make...12 pieces, and the block is 3 inches. But, they were fun!

Got the baby quilt done and quilted

A little bit of info on this baby quilt .
Its for a friend of mine . Her baby will be 12 months old in Augest and she will have anther one in OCT.! Well, they are both boys so she will keep the baby's room the same . She had an extra valance that she was not using so asked if I could use it in the quilt . Like that every thing is like a set
So the pic if frogs and butterfies and bee is from the valance

I don't know if i will finish my goals this week. I had planned on working on the border for my quilt tomorrow evening as I have been working all week.

Well, I was playing around with my oldest son today and he accidently scratched my eye. I couldn't open my eye at all in the light. I was soooooo bored today. If it isn't feeling better in the morning I will call the eye doctor.

Anway, here is a laugh for you..... I was trying to find something to cover the hurt eye so that I could at least watch a movie or be on the computer. I tried to tie a piece of fabric around my head...LOL, but that didn't work because it put too much pressure on my eye.

Sooooo, my solution was.....to wrap a bra around my head using the cup as the eye patch. It is actually working great...LOLOLOL This is the only reason I can even bear to look at the computer. It is starting to give me a headache though. I think I might have to go to bed early.

Lynette! Should we start calling you Pirate Lynette?!? No....maybe Bordello Pirate Lynette!! Sorry for messing with you, but just imagining you sitting there like that is too funny! Reminds me of my little ones when they'd dig through the dirty laundry and come out wearing mine! (DH was not so amused when DS started doing it too!) I hope it's feeling better today!

As for my goals, well, I haven't worked on my dresden plates too much, but did make the yo-yo centers for all 15 blocks and got them basted on so I can take most with me to the airport! They might get done by the time I get home on Sunday.

I also got all my apple core pieces done, the body of the quilt done, and the pieces fused down. Now need to decide if I'm going to skip a step and 'applique' them down after it's been layered, or if I'll follow directions and 'applique' them first then layer and do more traditional quilting.

Lynette you need to see a DR for that !! That does not sound too good !!

I was planning on going to the eye doc today, but it is feeling much better. I am able to keep my eye open now. so, I will just wait it out. Should be all the way better tomorrow.

Twenty lashes with a wet noodle for me. I haven't touched my sewing machine this week although I did lay out the 12 blocks and decided how I wanted them. Am off to the Cape for an overnight with my friends. Maybe Saturday I can make up for lost time.

I have met my goal! I quilted on the baby blanket every day. It's not done so I'll keep quilting.

I have a scrappy quilt top finished. Made a dent in my red and blue scraps. I eneded up having to add an additional 4 blocks because the pattern just wasn't looking right.

Well, I've been down with a cold all week so haven't felt up to doing much. I've been working on my goals when I feel like sitting upright for a while. So much for my 2 days off! Actually, I'm feeling better today so maybe I can get some good work done over the weekend if DH doesn't suck me into any home improvement projects!

I... accomplished one mission, but the other is failing.

I-spy blocks went out about an hour ago, but the whole 'get through next two weeks without maiming boyfriend' is failing pretty badly. Who knew roadtrips were such a disaster?

I guess I met my goal for the week, because I have not just 2 or 3 more rows of the circles put together, filled with pics, and their flaps stitched, but a whole half of the quilt done--only I have still to stitch down the purple flaps and a few of the red ones. The green, yellow, and blue ones are all stitched and their thread ends finished off.

I'm not posting a picture because this is just another of those same old Peek-a-Boo I-Spies with diagonally-placed bright colors in their circles, which I have already posted pics of, probably more than once.

Lynette: I hope nobody important rings the doorbell while you are wearing that eyepatch, lol. But that's very ingenious of you; I'll try to remember it for future reference, just in case!

My eye is completely better now....whew!!! I had a business meeting today and I had to go work for my mom. Boy would that be embarrassing....LOL Wouldn't want anyone seeing that eyepatch...LOL

Anyway. I didn't finish my goal but I did get lots of the border pieces sewn together. I was going to finish it but for some reason I have gone completely stupid tonight. I can't seem to cut anything right, so need to stop. I don't need anymore injuries...LOL

I'll put it all on the list for next week.

I didn't get my goals done. I was cleaning & mowing & "playing" (yeah right) with my new weedeater all week. Found out I'm a weakling. Maybe by next week I'll have the whole yard weedeaten when it's time to start over again.

I finished sewing the units for the month of the year blocks, but didn't get to the quilting on my nephew's quilt. I did get I-spy blocks cut and mailed :)

Lynette- Glad your eye is feeling better. Any one that knows about the eye patch is going to let you forget.

Donna- Feel better soon. My husband does the same thing. Pulls me into one of his projects and then I can't get away.

Kit- Hang in there on your trip. Did you take another project to work on?

Marti8a- I go outside and goof off too. Mine is more of the feeding and watering animals and cleaning up after them.

Biwako- Are the circles being done as snowball squares?

Marty mo- How big is the quilt you put on the frame? Sometimes the big quilts can be a hassle.

Cheryl- I've that about doing blocks of the months on my own but I would still be on Dec. 2006

Suellen...how do I get so much done???? Am I getting a lot done? I never realized. I never get as much done as I want to..I think that was a compliment, so Thank You!! LOL.
Since I started quilting, I've fallen back in love with sewing...and that's all I want to do!! I try to sew a little everyday. And, I get up at 6am on the week ends and can have 2 or 3 hours of sewing done before I have to do anything that's scheduled in for the day.

I actually got my son's wedding quilt done except for binding by my goal date of July 13. It was totally finished, wrapped and ready to present by the 18th, two days before their wedding. They left it with me so I could take it to the quilt shop for show-and-tell and also get the label done. They'll pick it up when they stop by after their honeymoon to get their dog. I don't have a picture to post yet, but I will start a separate thread for that, as many here have helped me with it along the way, and I want them to see the finished project.
