Ashley Mac's with friend, and we had the same: spinach feta tart, mini sour cream biscuit, BLT salad.

Spent the afternoon playing Mexican train with friend, who has cancer. She so loves it when we visit and play the game.

I had a nice day today. I went to the doctor yesterday and am on medication for my UTI so being on the golf course today was much much better than Tuesay. I did get tired after 10 holes but every time I got up to hit the ball, I told myself I feel terrific. LOL. It worked to some degree. My gross score was only four shots higher than my partner's and her handicap is twelve strokes less than mine, so I was pleased with my game. We had a very nice luncheon after golf and DH had a luncheon today too. I'm taking the night off (again). If I get hungry, I'll make myself some popcorn. Sounds good to me.

Showers today so I went grocery shopping. I only go major grocery shopping once a month as the store is 50 minutes one way. from us. I hate to shop no matter what it is for. I always have a 2nd of everything I use as the small little grocery store near us 20 min ride is very expensive.
For dinner it was sandwiches something easy.
Patti, this time of year there is no way I can take time off except when it rains & then there is housework that has to be done. It would not be so bad if I felt better. Better days are on the way.

Glenda, isn't it strange when we really like something we start to crave it if we don't have it enough. I think you're that way with the tart--and I'm that way with spinach quiche. It sounds like you had an enjoyable afternoon with friends.

Georgysmom, sure glad you're feeling better. After 18 holes of golf and a luncheon, I can see why you wouldn't want to be in the kitchen. Like Liz said last night, it's a great way to keep the kitchen clean. :-)

Lindalu, I can't tell you how good that sounds. It's like Sunday lunch at our house when I was young. Enjoy--ha! I know you will!!

Mary, I know what you mean about doing major shopping when you don't live close to a decent-sized town. It's a pain in the arse. I swear I will NEVER live more than a mile from Publix again in my lifetime :-) And yes, better days are ahead when you get that knee fixed!!

Been at the doctors office and just got home so I don't know what we will have, but I do have some frozen crab cakes so possibly those.

I found some cabbage soup in the freezer so we had that. It's good and filling with hamburger, potatoes, onion, carrots and tomatoes. More like a stew, really. Also had some garlic cabiatta bread with it.

Jasdip, I went through the freezer yesterday and found all sorts of treasures. I could probably go two weeks without cooking if I wanted to use up all that stuff.

It was a long day at work. I didn't get any lunch because of prepping for a meeting. DH didn't get any either, so we went to a local Mongolian grill for dinner.

hamburgers..and i take a can of baked beans, and mix with green beans as a side...

I was tired last night, so just had a ham, Swiss cheese, and tomato sandwich. It sure did taste good. Walmart here has started selling a new brand in the deli, "Ol Farmers Ham." It is so good, has a wonderful flavor.
