At our house, I just made meatloaf, deviled eggs and sour cream cornbread for tonight's dinner.

For dinner it was hamburgers, hubby had lettuce, tomato, cheese & onion for me just the hamburger. Had to go to the Dr & she lanced this lump on my thumb, sure was a lot of junk in there. This is caused from the arthritis in all my joints. Wish there was a pill to control arthritis so it would not get any worse, oh well maybe someday. We did some yard work when we got home.

Went to the Home where my special needs sister lives for a Memorial Day picnic. Had to have it indoors as temps were in mid 40s. They grilled the hotdogs and hamburgers outside for us. Had them with all sorts of toppings (including coney sauce), macaroni salad, baked beans, and homemade cupcakes. We all had a good time.

For my evening meal, I had some canned chicken spread on bread and a Milky Way Midnight candy bar.

I went into a different grocery store today in a town about 10 miles away. In their deli, they had egg salad. I'd never seen that in any other deli I've been in. They wanted almost $5 a lb. I thought I could make my own cheaper.

went out for cherry chicken salad and dh got his usual fish....mine isn' setting too well hvn't had greens for several days and tum is protesting...

thinking of taking heating pad up to bed now and joining dh watching gulp! redwings and tigers...it's only 6:30 but i'm cold and don't want to turn the heat on higher than 68...burrrr....

Kayjones, that's better than "just made". It all sounds wonderful. Harry'd be so happy if I made deviled eggs. What is it with men and deviled eggs? They sure do like them.

Mary, ouch! Hope that relieves your pain. Don't they have some kind of pill of arthritis? Seems like I saw something advertised on TV.

Shirley, for goodness sakes! 40 degrees at the onset of Memorial Day weekend? What next--snow at the Indy 500?? Sounds like a nice day and I'm sure your sister enjoyed the visit. Sure hope you ate a coney for me!! It's been too long since I had a midnight milky way. I'll have to use every bit of will power I have to keep from buying some at the store tomorrow.

Susan, cold at your house, too! It was around 90-92 today. But the humidity level so low so it doesn't feel so hot. Sure hope you didn't get food poisoning from the chicken salad. Stay warm and feel better!

Robert brought home some thick cut bacon from the store so we had bacon, spinach, and tomato sandwiches on toast. Tasted wonderful even if the tomatoes weren't homegrown.
