I think you need color and print. I don't like the white, it feels sterile. Maybe you could take inspiration from your rug and find a leaf pattern?

btw, Are those curtains going to be functional for the slider?

Color or texture, one or the other. It's not just that everything's white and beige, it's also that it's all pretty flat. Try some white patterned curtains, for example.

One other thing to consider is a color on the ceiling.

I think it's beautiful....clean crisp cool and classic just as it is....maybe a lovely glass vase with 3 or 4 Gerbera Daisys on the one of your counter.

I think they look clean and crisp too. If there is anyway to move the TV to a different location and replace it with a big bushy palm in a large colorful glazed pot...I think that will add some color to your room. It is really shaping up nicely.

I love it ; agree with Linda, it's elegant and you do have many tones and textures in your room, the accessories and art will bring color.

If the white drapes are functional, that is, they open and close easily to allow you to access the sliders, then they are fine, though maybe not my first choice.

For color, how about a large picture on the wall above the TV, approximately poster size, with bold colors?

Since this is a sunroom, what about assorted planters full of plants? You can buy colored wicker planters, wrought iron planters, so many to choose from. Planters.com is good, I've bought several from them.

Plants will definitely add lots of color to the room. I wish I had a room like that!

I like it and I would do just as many others suggested: either add color or add texture.

I'm always a fan of black and white prints in simple frames w/ white mats. It would help draw your eye across the walls, tie in the white of the curtains and accentuate the green of your walls.

But not everybody likes black and white photos but maybe that could give you an idea of something else that would work.

I saw pictures of your rooms before. Very, very techno. I couldn't live there because there doesn't seem to be any color. We thrive on color in our home. It's what you like though. It's all about you! Open those curtains on the door! Use the wall to the left of the door to add some pictures.

I like the white, but yes, you need some texture and color. As said, plants, pictures, and vases of flowers is really all that you need. You could also consider a rug with more color- rusty reds, vibrant green or more gold (not drab gold).

Thanks for all your suggestions! I guess I should have mentioned that I wasn't complete with the rest of the room. We have pictures to hang and a corner cabinet to place in the corner near the sliders. I plan to bring alot more color in with accessories. We chose the white blinds only because I wanted the light from the outside to come in, but needed the privacy. I was at my wits end trying to figure out what I really wnated, but thought simplicity. As for the curtains on the sliders, I agree the may be too stark, maybe a sheer with texture would look better, but again we need the privacy, so I went with the thicker curtains. The good thing is they are curtains, not too expensive so I can change them whenever.

The rugs - a temporary fix until I find something I really love with alot more color. The gold rug by the doors was in our bedroom that I brought to bring it down.

I guess its a work in progress. I'm hoping to find pieces "with color" to bring into the room.

I'll keep posted updated pictures.
