I am doing bbq baby back ribs, boiled baby red potatoes, tomato, cucumber, and onion salad.

Well it is now in the high 80's here so the a/c went on. If hubby had his way it would never go on but the dogs & I have a 3/1 vote, so guess who wins.
We had steak & a garden salad-no salad for me.

All these dinners sound really delicious! Patti, the Bananas Foster sound good and perhaps are easy to make, being done in the crockpot. Are you able to share the recipe? We are having a lovely weather day today and I did some gardening, planting some annuals and getting my exercise at the same time!

For dinner, we're having vegetarian lasagna. It's one of those easy recipes where you don't even need to cook the lasagna noodles ahead of time.

Raven, have you got room for 1 more? I'd love to have bbq ribs!

We just finished dinner. Temps today are perfect. Tomorrow is the end of the wonderful weather (to me) Temps at 70F and absolutely no humidity. Hot temperatures hitting 30C mid-week with high humidity. Yuck!!!

Leftover ziti and had tossed salads and fresh bread. Dessert was rhubarb crisp.

Mac and cheese, a boiled potato, and tuna salad.

High of 59 here in Ohio again. Then within about 36 hrs, it will be hot, hot, hot, and humid.

Mary, dinner sounds good. I haven't had a good steak on the grill for too long.

Stacey, I had vegetable lasagna at a wedding reception dinner once and it was so good. I think they made an alfredo sauce to bind it together. I remember it had broccoli, carrots and?? forgot what else.

Happy to share the bananas Foster. I will use less cinnamon next time. But it couldn't be faster or easier. Only takes 1 hour on LOW!!

Crockpot Bananas Foster

4 Tbsp. butter (no substitutes)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon (or a little less)
6 bananas, peeled and sliced
1/4 c. rum

Place butter and brown sugar ina 3-1/2 or 4 quart crockpot, cover and turn on LOW. Let butter melt for 10-20 minutes, then stir to combine.

Add cinnamon, bananas and rum; turn gently through the brown sugar syrup. Cover and cook on LOW for about 1 hour until the bananas are glazed and softened. Spoon sauce over pound cake and top with whipped cream. Or serve over ice cream. Serves 6.

Raven, better throw a couple more potatoes in the pot. I think you're having company ;-) I somehow missed your post when I commented a minute ago.

Jasdip, I like your temps! Especially the low humidity. When you said the temps will be in the 30's mid-week, is that 30C or 30F? I sure hope it isn't the freezing 30F!!

Cookout tonight - hamburgers, hot dogs & pasta salad.

30C Patti. Although we've been getting frost overnight the past number of days. I've been covering my little garden each nite.

We are having leftovers from the family cookout at noon. It is a good thing we had it then, as around 5 or some after we had heavy, heavy winds and lots of rain for a little bit and then the sun peeked through and now it is back to dark and gloomy. After the wind and rain I rode my big rig with Izzi out and about and I see no limbs down. My plate this evening had a barbecued chicken thigh, baked beans, cheese potatoes, and a deviled egg. I am drinking iced tea.

I had taken out of the freezer what I thought was pork chops and it was ribs instead. I never had that one marked. I had mine with bbz sauce and DH had it plain. Corn on the cob was good.

Patti, thank you for the recipe. That is a great idea for dessert when hosting a group for dinner, such as a bbq because it can be prepared ahead of time. I once had a dinner party and made mashed potatoes in the crockpot. They turned out delicious and there was no mashing to be done at the last minute. But I likely won't wait until we have guests to try your recipe, will make it soon. Sounds delicious either with pound cake or ice cream (or both).

I was pretty busy today... Did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen pretty thoroughly, bought a new table for the porch yesterday so I put that together. DH didn't think we needed a new table and was very much against it but our porch is kind of small so I wanted a smaller table. This is a 40" round and fits perfectly. I thought today was a good day to introduce it since I had made all of DH's favorites.....potato salad, cucumbers in sour cream and dill (sound familiar Patti?) cole slaw, corn on the cob, grilled steak and French fried onion rings. We even had a glass of wine and his favorite ice cream, chocolate mint chip. He likes the table. LOL

Stacey--I will cut back on the sugar next time I make it. I put in 1/2 c. packed brown sugar--maybe it wasn't supposed to be packed. Told Harry it'd be good over waffles or pancakes, too.

Kittiemom, I need to learn how to use our grill since Harry isn't able to anymore. Gas grills scare me. Don't know why gas stoves don't. Here we have this big nice Weber grill that is just sitting. Our SIL grills when they come--once a year. Anyway, your dinner is the perfect end to a holiday weekend. Enjoy!

Bengardening, I hate it when that happens. I did the same thing a while back, only in reverse. Thought it was ribs and it was pork chops.

Georgysmom, you sure know the way to a man's heart!! No wonder he likes the table with all that good food on it. I was going to make your scone recipe this afternoon, but piddled around instead. :-)

85 wonderful, glorious degrees here....my kind of weather...I'm not freezing. LOL For supper we had Dinti Moore beef stew on biscuits. We add a can of peas to it. It was good.
