I am planning on burgers on the grill and was so pleased with myself to see that it is national hamburger day. I will probably fix some baked beans to go with. Strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Considering the yukky weather, my day was pretty good! I got some amazing deals on practically brand new clothes at the thrift store.

Supper was chicken stuffed with spinach & ricotta cheese (not home-made, sadly, but low -cal) and roasted veggies (asparagus, onion, cauliflower, red peppers & mushrooms).

We've got lots of grilled chicken left over and am going to put it to good use with a mixed grain dish, fresh asparagus, and green beans.

I had a lazy day here. Mostly crocheted. Trying to finish an afghan for a wedding present. There's a storm brewing now. I'm making taco salad for dinner. One of DH's favorites.

Drats, no sunny beach. Ribs (again!!), corn. Ice cream, P-Nut Buster parfait style, lots of chocolate.

It's been hot and humid and now one thunderstorm after another here in Ohio. We've gotten a lot of rain in last 24 hrs. I spent a good part of the day fighting with the cable company, and gathering info for round two sometime in next 3 to 5 business days.

My meal was pulled chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy and creamed corn.

I haven't figured out what I'm eating tonight, but this was lunch with my daughter-in-law today: Baked Tofu Slices with Tartar Sauce. Recipe from Christina Clarke's book, Cook With Tofu. I used to make this a lot when my kids were growing up, and I found the recipe this week and remembered how good it is.

(That's my homemade tartar sauce in the middle. lol )

We had a cool but sunny day today. I had a BLT for supper and DH had a pizza.

Cool (62), breezy, and we had a thundershower late morning that drenched everything.

Leftover pot roast from last night with gravy, mushrooms, roast potatoes. I'm not sure what vegetable I'll put with it yet, I'll see whats interesting in my canned goods or the freezer. Last night I sautéed spinach for a side, now its gone. I don't have fresh produce other than bananas and blueberries, will need to shop tomorrow.

Hubs is stopping at Panera on the way home to pick up dinner. One Fuji Apple Salad, and one Turkey Avocado BLT. We split the salad and split the sandwich, so we each get a yummy, filling dinner for only 525 calories each!

It finally stopped raining for a little while so hubby is going to wade the lake that is our back yard to the BBQ pit to grill some bone in ribeye steaks. I have cauliflower to go with it and sliced tomatoes.

We had baked salmon and grilled asparagus. We didn't eat our ice cream Monday night. DH didn't eat lunch, so he ate his ice cream when he got home from work. I think I'll have some of mine in a little while.

Here's a pic of tonight's supper. Veggies are tossed in a small bit of olive oil and then roasted in the oven on a cookie sheet. Chicken is Presidents Choice blue menu. 130 calories and 2 carbs.

And here is last nights supper. Maple Leaf prime chicken breast stuffed with broccoli and cheese (low calorie as well) with mashed turnip (no butter) and broccoli.

Lindsey, Fuji Apple Chicken Salad is my #1 favorite Panera meal. I'm in a rut when I go there, but it's a happy rut.

What are you people doing to me?! I often drool over just what you made for dinner, just the description. Now you're adding pictures!! Lololol Everything does look very good. (Quite honestly, I do like looking at the pictures.)

It has been very hot today in the 80's. Cheryl and I planted more garden. She was pulling weeds and went to dump them along a fence row and she spotted curled up in the weeds a tiny baby deer. We did not bother it but did get some pictures this evening. So cute! My supper was leftover hot dog, a sausage and the last little piece of strawberry rhubarb pie. We got just a few sprinkles this evening and it has cooled down some.

I didn't know it's National Burger Night...
But we are having grilled burgers on just from the oven Brioche type buns and french fries..

Fresh baked Brown Butter Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies...for dessert and beyond..

so frustrating...had to hit Verizon again to pay bill...they removed me from paper bill in error...then headed up to best buy thinking they had repaired my big computer...(not done) so ok... headed to wal mart. none of my special chai tea, none of the sugarfree candy we like...did pick up some pantry items...BUT! walked out into a downpour! by the time I got home, pulled a container of stew, and crawled into bed to warm up...but it was really good for the dreary day...we were luckier than some in the Detroit area...they had flooding!!

Leftover frozen pizza...not good.

We had a recipe I pulled from all recipes.com-cubed steak parmesan. It was ok-3 stars I's say. Even so, its nice to have something different.

Broiled salmon, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra.
