Go for it, Marian! You can do the same thing on a smaller scale on your deck. In fact, I bet you already have just by grouping the potted plants. Do you have a bakerÂs rack or old table to add heightÂso you can work without bending over? Look around for items you can repurpose to plant inÂa cracked tea cup, wooden box or metal pan. Plant some cuttings or rescue the next clearance annuals you find in the parking lot when you go to the grocery store. Add a few little items that make you smile, a pretty rock or something you found of interest around the yard and youÂll have a neat little vignette to share! Lovely to hear from you MIMS, Big changes in our life this year, my husband retired from 25 yrs in the USCG and we moved from Cape Cod Ma. to E. WA to be near our youngest daughter, we took a rental house for a year so we could really look around to find our dream retirement home. Our garden was very small this year, I didn't get to wintersow last year so I'm really craving it this year but I'll keep it light as we will be moving again. We got our first snow fall it is beautiful and so serene, it will be interesting to see what winter is like here in E.Wa. I hope you get lots of snow and have a peaceful winter. Wendey

No-Clue, I just bought the big Wildfire from Emerson, I am going to pick it up Saturday. That means I can send the 14 inch Wild Fire that was rooted 3-11-11 to you. I paid for 3 plants plus freight $100, so I think I paid $30 for it. Is that ok? I will mail it out to you on Monday, it is in a pot right now enjoying the Texas sun. I am so excited. On the paypal bill, Emerson noted it is the largest plant he was taking to the PSA sale, 4ft tall. I will take a picture of it, and get my son to email it to someone so they can post it on the forum. I just need to get my hubby to remove my cars back seat, so I can get it home. Barbra

I don't think they're cowboy hats. They're pins. They're more like a roughrider hat that the cavalry wore. I thought they might be part of a uniform. The other metal pins and tags say S.&.W.E.C. and M.R.E.P. CO. Those are white rocks of some sort - with sparkly gray running through them. I don't know if that's a ladies purse or some sort of ditty bag for men. The coin purse is double clasped. The center leather piece is missing from the frame, but I can see where it was stitched at one time so that it was a shallow coin purse one side and a longer one on the other. It's about 6" long. The paint brush is as soft as baby hair and doesn't look like it's been used. The red tip on the end looks like it was put there for a reason -- dunno. Those other metal things (I forget what they're called) are like victorian souvenir advertisements. One says "Dog On" Good Whiskey (there's more writing on the back -from Kentucky; the other is from the Alaska -Yukon - Pacific Exposition - Seattle 1909. Thanks for your input.
