How do you eat your corned beef?

Right now, I am craving for a "Drip." There's a word before that, but it depends on the restaurant. My favorite is Rob's Deli. He named the Drip after his son - David's Drip. It's corned beef on onion roll w/ 1000 island, swiss cheese and cole slaw. Ohhhh so good! Of course I love corned beef sandwich on rye w/ mustard, too. And sometimes crave corned beef and cabbage.

What other ways do enjoy corned beef or what is your favorite sandwhich?

We call a "drip" a reuben. I love them. Corned beef, saurcraut, 1000 island dressing, swiss cheese...

And I missed lunch today!

Corned beef in any way, shape or form must have Grey Poupon mustard on it though (except the hash, I guess, that has to have Heinz ketchup)

I grew up in corn country in central Ill. Bring a pan of water to a boil at high heat, put the corn in, bring back to boil or near boil, cover, remove from heat...ready in 5 min. or less. But the first thing you should do is test your corn before you cook it...stick a finger nail into a kernel near the small end...if you don't see milk it is already old! In that case it is really good as fried corn!

Eating an orange! How do you eat yours?

I can just peel and eat a mandarin. But navel oranges I slice. I like to cut the orange in half top to bottom, then slice the half into 3-4 slices. So I've got half circle slices 1/3 inch or so thick. That way when I "stretch" the slice to the rind is straight, the little trianglar sections just pop out. That's how I like an orange. I slice one, put it back together in a ball, then in a baggie for lunches (mine and the kids). My 7 y/o loves oranges and is eating 2 a day lately. We bought some very good navels a few days ago. I love citrus season! Loved it when we lived in Floria, too. The trees look so pretty with all those bright orange balls on them, like the whole orchard is decorated for Christmas. ;o)

Never heard of putting sugar in the water, but I was told by a relative to put a dash of sweet milk in the pot with the corn. I also read a long time ago that the only way to cook corn was to put the pot of water on to boil, run out to the corn patch, pull off the corn, husk it on the way to the house, and drop it in the boiling water, for a few minutes, depending on the size of the ears. The idea was to get the corn to the pot immediately. 'Course that was 'way back when so many folks grew their own corn. Now, I would microwave it. Sue

Don't want full kernels of corn in mine. And I don't like it gritty. If it's going to be eaten as a dessert, then put frosting on it and have it sweet like any other cake. If it's a meal accompaniment, then not sweet/cakey with just a light bit of real butter melted on it. I'm not big on cornbread and don't find much good stuff around anyway.

I love a classic Reuben sandwich, too! A deli near me has corned beef and pastrami on Rye with Thousand Island dressing-that's good,too. But calling a sandwich a "drip". Thst's wrong.

A Corned Beef Special..a sandwich sold in every deli in this part of the country.
I had one for lunch yesterday.

Corned beef on deli rye(not pre-sliced in a plastic bag), with russian dressing schmered on the bread, between this, a mound of thin sliced cold corned beef, topped with cole slaw.

Great with a Dr Brown's cream soda.

I love it every way! In my restaurant, for Reuben's I made up my own (what I called) Mountain Sauce, instead of 1000 Island dressing. To mayo, I added red piccalily relish, lemon juice, salt & pepper & a little sugar.Also good on Swiss Bacon Cheeseburgs!

The only way I eat corned beef is on a Rueben, only I like mustard instead of Thousand Island on mine.

Thinly sliced corned beef mounded high on Deli Rye that has been slathered with Hellman's mayo. Together with a garlic dill and a hand full of chips, and a glass of ice cold milk... well now I am in hogggg heaven.
