Hello everyone in the 2011 Birthday Block Exchange! This is Kristene, here to give you advanced notice of the upcoming birthdays for February. Remember, this year we are aiming to have everyone's blocks made and delivered on time - early is OK, but not 3 weeks after the birthday. Besides myself in Australia, there are a number of participants living in Canada, so sending early will ensure the block is received in time for the birthday. Each quilter can decide whether to keep them all to open on their actual birthday, or open them as they arrive. I was going to keep mine till the 15th this year - but my will power left after 2 days! It's given me more time to begin the next steps of transformation on the blocks. Anyway, here are the 3 birthdays for February 2011 Piece of Cake - Feb 12th - Kate (k8orlando) Ribbons & Bows - Feb 14th - Jeanne (sandlapper_rose) Make a Wish - Feb 26th - Deanna (faintheart) NB: Feb 14th is Jeanne's "unbirthday". this is her 2nd group so she decded to choose a different month since there were already many birthdays in March The above format is how each birthday will be entered for members to make their posts when they send their blocks and receivers to say the blocks have been received. Normally I would not be reporting on the March birthdays this soon, especially with so many that fall late in March, but as you know I will be helping with the triplets soon so I decided I'd better so this now before I don't get to it. Please don't get concerned that if your block is on the way, you are late. I am not saying that. In fact, I think all that have not been received are on their way. For the birthday girls, just remember to post to your thread when all of your blocks have been received and maybe let Kristene know as well so she will be able to determine that March is complete. March 29 - Jeanne (sandlapper_rose) Jeanne has received from 11 people and is still awaiting her block from Cindy. Make a Wish March 18 - Eileen (equilter) - Complete March 24 - Paula (paulah_gardener) From the postings, I believe Paula is still awaiting a block from Cathleen. Ribbons & Bows March 1 - Fay (faytay) Complete March 3 - Sally (salijo) Complete March 27 - Mary (tuppermom) From the postings, I believe Mary is still awaiting blocks from Cindy and Robbi. As you should already know, if you participated in 2010 and sent a block to someone in your group and did not receive a block back, Kristene (tinyteena) is trying to make sure all of this turns out right for you. Some were late getting blocks out for various reasons but are trying to get them out now and if that hasn't worked out, she will get a volunteer to make sure that if you sent your blocks, you get one in return.
