Help w/ bathroom mirror?

I just ordered these fun sconces (in pink) for our beach cottage bathroom. Now I can't figure out what type of mirror I want to use. I could use a very plain mirror with a chrome frame, but wondering what other ideas you all might have? The vanity is 48" and one side is up against the wall, so I'm figuring a good size for the mirror would be about 24" wide by 30" or 36" high. Or maybe round? Hadn't thought of that until just now. In terms of style, well, it's 'funky/retro beach cottage' style, I guess. The vanity is white beadboard with a gray counter. Any suggestions? I poked around online a bit and so far nothing is jumping out at me. I just need a mirror, not a medicine cabinet. I've also been checking Craigs List, hoping to find something interesting.

You could do just a plain mirror with a bevel and let those adorable sconces steel the show.

I think this one could be fun, and the mother of pearl would pick up some of the blue tones in the lights, as well as the grey in the counter. Plus, the round shapes are a nice compliment to the globes and the ball ends on the sconces.

Or, I could see being really kitschy and going with a mirror that has a frame covered in seashells, for the beach idea.

A third choice would be a beadboard frame.

Lori - Actually I was looking at that color today online. Long story short, I normally use Ace Royal paint but they don't carry it anymore and I don't like the new stuff. I considered heading to another place to look at color chips. I do plan on using BM paint for the bathroom but was hoping for something decent but cheaper for the bedroom but who to match the paint...? So anyhow, yeah, I'd love to see a sample of the H. Butterscotch!

I would find a good wallpaper installer to do a continuation lay of a wallpaper mural. Some have a bit of your bedroom blue with the greens. The effect with the lighter sky at the top will add more vertical height and look cool. Maybe not those particular mural wallpapers ( just quickly grabbed some) but there are some nifty wallpaper murals out there. Google bathroom wallpaper murals or scenery wall murals, A bunch of trees with water and sky would work so well with the floor color, countertop and wood of vanity... greens, blues, a bit of brown, earth with everything getting lighter as it goes up. Small off areas can be painted any color in the mural.

Yes, every painted surface in my 1915 bathroom tested positive for lead. Literally the inside of the bathroom doors tested positive and the outside of the doors was negative. Contributed to the cost of my remodel, though I'm in CA where requirements are even more stringent than the EPA. So be careful with the demo. I remodeled my kitchen and only bath together, so we ended up re-piping the entire house. Everything works so much better. Before I was calling the plumber every 6 months for one thing or another. I know you can call the plumber a lot for $31K, just trying to give a silver lining to making the investment.

Thanks Les, but the light fixtures are actually pink, not blue. (Blue is shown when you click on the link, but as I said above, I ordered them in pink.) It almost looks like there could be some pink tones in the mirror as well, but not sure. I should have mentioned too... I don't have a particular price range but this house is sooo over budget, I'm trying to save where I can. Definitely under $200 for the mirror.

I like the beadboard idea, just haven't seen one in the right size. Pottery Barn has one but I'm not convinced that the size is quite right.

I may do as lukk said and get a plain mirror.

Maybe you could find a wood-framed mirror at a garage sale or thrift store and paint the frame to match the pink on those cute sconces.

So I clicked on the pink and it is so cute. You could find molding with lines in it like the sconces and spray it white or silver?
