I took a shower this morning, I swear!

Both, now all three, of my posts are at the top now. LOL

Are you self disciplined?

A girlfriend and I walked three mornings a week, rain, sleet, snow or shine, for about 6 years. When she got a new job we couldn't go together anymore. And I can sure tell a difference. It really, really, helped with my fibromyalgia and depression. If someone is depending on me, I'll be there, but I am not disciplined enough to do it on my own.

I know! I have a lot of health issues too, and love to walk. I have to get back into walking again, but have no desire to do it..I am so tired all the time with working so much......but know in my mind I would feel soooooooo much better if i started walking. I used to walk 5 miles in the morning and 5 miles at nite, every single day......
And I am not a self disciplined person anymore. Guess I'll have to find a walking buddy. I also have a nice treadmill, so I guess I better dust it off and get on it......have to have a "procedure" done on Tuesday and will definetly have to wait till the following week to start a walking routine, but I do need to get serious
Oh, and must be your shower worked.....LOL

Wow, doing the same routine for six years with your friend and then all of a sudden . . . it's over! Yeah, for me at least that would cause some big time major depression. Know that this sounds kinda stuipd, however I know for a fact that dogs LOVE WALKING, and need to be walked. Not quite the same as a girlfriend, but dogs do depend on ya, ya know????

Thanks everyone, Lucy, yes plants are expensive over here, and you cannot even get a wide variety of canna!!, or brugs here. The nurseries do not do special orders :( It is really silly, thats why i said you have it soooo much easier in america because you can get most of what you want. I have purchased alot of plants and also i have traded alot with fellow gardeners. My caladiums i got about 15 from the nurseries and all the others i got from friends who brought caladiums when vacationing abroad. Some plants like caladiums, brugmansia, canna, amaryllis, dahlia, which i like are difficult to get in Trinidad. Others like roses, hibiscuses, oleander, musaender, bromeliads, are easy to get. Siam

LOL, Glenda, I was happy when my daughter arrived on New Years Day. I had the kids overnight, and then for breakfast and time after. When Lori got there, I could make my lunch casserole, that we took out to Mel and Judys.... I was tired, by the time it was time to ride our bikes. :) Moni

OK..I agree they will steal ANYTHING! However, every now and then it will bite them in the rear. We were rushing home from a picnic,had a sick kiddo in the car; heavy traffic what can I do? I told his brother to hand him the small cooler! I said "just close it up and don't worry we'll be home as fast as I can." We got home and of course all I cared about was getting DS into house and cleaned up . Left gross cooler in front yard to take care of "later".. HAHAHAH guess what some idiot stole? Kathy

bpathome, I never used the Aux input before. But that's a good idea. I have a cable for it. I usually leave an audiobook on CD in the car for long drives. I find I like certain kinds as "car" books and others as "working around the house books". Lately it's been non-fiction in the car, or a really good author that needs more attention from a certain part of my brain. The earbuds while walking around are great. No wondering if you've missed something. The ones from my library come with neckcords. But I don't like the unit swinging. I wear something with a pocket, or put it in my phone holster at my waist. I wrap the middle of the wire of my earbuds around as much as needed, and clip it to my shirt with a binder clip, so I don't snag my wire on anything. That way I can bend over as needed, dig in the garden, etc. Check out your library. Mine is always getting new ones, and I can borrow from nearby libraries in the same system as well.
