Another Fun Filled Day!

Today, Cheryl picked me up and we picked up Terri and off we went. On our way to pick up a friend to visit an art gallery. On our way across from our church was a sale going on and since we knew the people we must stop. Oh, she had to bring us inside her home and take a tour of their very pretty and collectible glassware rooms of it. She even wanted us to go upstairs and take a tour, but we thanked her and told her we had to meet our friend. We picked up our friend at her country home and off we went to the art gallery. Our friend had two of her paintings there. She had a very realistic painting of blue berries in a tin and it was so lifelike. Her other painting was of a pie on a window ledge and a bowl of fruit on the table, very pretty indeed! The gallery was in an old church with a cemetery behind it. Of course Terri loves taking pictures of special old tombstones and so we drove through it and she snapped some pictures of tombstones that looked like tree trunks.

After that we drove around and found two very old homes. one had been remodeled and was beautiful and the second one was so old and large, in it's day it had to have been a wonderful place.

Then we are off to the quilt shop and looked at fabric. Our friend needed flannel to make a patch work purse for her aunt. A very nice shop.

By the time we were out of there, it was time for lunch so we walked nearby to a nice little eating place, all the tables were vintage and all the dinnerware was different, nothing matched. Very nice. We all had the chicken and noodle special with our friend having the good potato soup. They tried to talk us into trying their great looking pies, but all of us were too full. Of course we had iced tea and iced tea to go. Chicken noodle special included of course home made chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans and a roll and butter. All for $5.99. We got the small serving, I should hate to see how large the big serving was!

After that we headed back through the country and I think we stopped by 3 more cemeteries so Terri could take pictures. We got a tour of our friend's flower gardens and then were invited in to visit and see her little dog. We also met her son who lives with her.

What a wonderful outing we all had. Please tell us what you have been doing today?

Sue
