OT-prayers please for Michelle's family

For those that were here for the Michelle Quilt project we did, (ladies all over the globe donated blocks to make a quilt for Michelle and her mom, Michelle had cancer and is now in remission, she's a teenager) you may remember that Michelle's gramma, Jean works with my DH. Jean's husband Jim lost his battle with cancer yesterday. Jean is currently in treatment for lung cancer, Michelle as far as I know is still in remission. Please pray and send peaceful thoughts for this family during this difficult time. I fear Jean will lose what fight she has left now...without her buddy Jim....Thank you all...

Good Sunday morning everyone. My apologies for leaving you hanging and I know you know that we have been busy :) The news is good. Her body is responding to the antibiotics and treatments and she is improving. I believe we are heading in the right direction. This has been a stressfull ordeal for me but I feel much more optimistic today. They've removed a lot of tissue from her leg and it continues to drain well (according to them). They haven't gotten into muscle tissue and she is moving her leg much better and even stood on it last night. The Drs say that we aren't out of the woods yet but we can see the clearing. On behalf of our entire family, including Kathryn and a stressed out mommy, I so appreciate your thoughts and prayers. There's not a day that goes by that I don't realize how very much we have to be thankful for; however, it seems much more real and in my face today. Dora

Update on Deb's son Bobby. PLEASE keep on praying for him. It has been 17 days now and he is slowly waking up. Doctors said he would be blind because of the injuries, but he opened his eyes and when his sister waved to him, he waved back. But he has a lot more to overcome to hopefully be his own self again one day THIS is why prayers are still needed. They work!!! thank you friends. God bless Lucy

Glad to hear your dd is doing well, besides being bored, LOL! I don't want to even think about what it would be like to be bed-ridden for a long period of time, but I too would be bored. Just the few times that I have been down with a bad back, I lay there thinking on how I could go to the stores, put my weight on the cart and be able to shop :-) There's just so much reading, watching tv and being on the phone that you can do before it gets boring. Good that your sil now appreciates what it takes to care for a home and kids.

Prayers being sent for Jaiden. I looked thru the blog and shed a few tears. Oh, so hopeful for a complete recovery! Was she struck by a snowblower? Do you mean the large truck that drives thru the streets, blowing the snow to the side of the road? Did she have broken bones as well as head injury? I haven't seen this story, so just curious, and concerned. Please let us know if you hear any updates on her recovery. WE will keep her in prayer!!

Wasn't around for Michelle's quilt but what a wonderful tribute.

Thanks everyone! There will be no services, only a private burial, I doubt Jean's up to much more. The office folks were on their way back from a funeral for one of the salesman when they got the news, that man died of cancer too....
so sad. Thanks for uplifting them all! I'm sure they feel the support!
