OT ,, bad news today

Well, there seems to be a controversy over where to post things,,,,I know its off topic,,,but I never look at the conversation page as I dont like flipping around.

Anyway, I need prayer for son again. He had another MRI and a bone scan today and the infection has spread and is eating into his vertabrae.So now they are going to do surgery,,,,and may have to put in a small plate to replace the destroyed bone.It is very close to the spinal cord,,,so its not a simple surgery. Thank you for prayers,and I hope I didnt do wrong to post here. Love, Caroline

Rabbiteye type blueberries can handle our heat, but like a sandy and acidic soil, so raised beds will work best with losts of peat moss,organic matter and compost if you are in a more alkaline soil. In MG class, the recommended varieties for North Central Texas (where I live) are Tifblue and Climax. Other varieties from my book are Briteblue, Delite and Britewell. You need 2 varieties for cross pollination. They don't like fertilizer near their base and no nitrogen fertilizer because it is detrimental to the the growth of berries. Ok, Grrrr. It seems not only did I exceed the bandwidth of my photo sharing site (until tomorrow when my month is over I think), but it appears that I may have crashed the Ft2Garden.com server bandwidth as well. I was posting about the photo site when it gave me an error when I tried posting. After checking Judy's blog and the Ft2Garden.com forum, they were all down. I can only assume the two are related. Who knew my 15 minutes of fame would have such unintended consequences. Oops!

I sincerely thank you all for your kind words of support. It's so hard to look at her and know that she's going to die sooner than later and she hasn't a clue. I almost wish we didn't know. and found out late like we did with a rottweiler we had years ago. We're going to continue to spoil her. She's already spoiled rotten! I'm just giving her extra scratchies on her flank that she really likes. I let her sleep in our room last night, on the floor but that was not good for any of us, she paced a lot and growled at the cats who sleep on the bed. Tonight she'll have to stay in her bed in the family room. We don't know how much time she's got-once it's spread it's just a matter of months, but the tumor is relatively small right now, so it may be a year-we hope anyway! The weather is turning and it's warming up, so we might take the dogs to the beach. She's only been once, and she stuck with the Labs the whole time (she grew up with our two dear departed labs) so we'll take her and see how she does. It will be good for us anyway-we always liked taking our dogs to the beach. But mostly we're just going to let her do what she likes-which is lay at our feet with something she's stolen from the kitchen. Like a jar of pickles or, like right now, a package of crackers. She doesn't eat these things, she just guards them.

aaaaaaaah I'm so sorry for your boy! Infections these days are getting wicked powerful! They sneak around..hide from antibiotics..then pop up and put you in a world of pain. Nasty business! I'm still living in fear.
He needs all the prayers he can get!!

Thank you all, and I will let you know.The surgery is maybe Monday,,,we arent sure yet.I am touched by all your kind words,,,you made me cry!!! Love you all!!!!

So sorry about your son. I have already send up a petition to the Lord and will continue to do so as you come to mind. It is very hard sometimes to understand why these things happen and why we all have to struggle so hard on this earth. Be reassured that God does have a plan for all of us.
