Well poor Syd drama is her middle name I think...Brian just finished talking with her...she can't get in anywhere fast to get windows fixed so she is having to rely on people to take her to and from work...which wouldn't be sooo bad but she doesn't get off til midnight most nights....I fell sooo bad for her...think if we go home this weekend....maybe leave her my tahoe and take her car back here and get windows fixed and then bring it back to her.....I just feel helpless and she is trying to be sooo adult and handle everything herself....and it is totally stressing her out! Stacy, if she didn't get her car in on Sunday (which we know, she couldn't), it can easy take a couple of weeks. Everyone here is way busy with glass repairs.

I will tell her that kframe...I think she is just more upset because before her grandad passed away he wanted to make sure she got the car! And it has been her pride and joy!! Brian is going to call somewhere in Tulsa tomorrow and see when someone can get her in Moni!

Well, the good thing is that even with all that damage, the car may be totaled value wise, but it's still drivable. It's not as if she was in an accident with no collision damage and is totally without one.

Nissans are generally good cars, so she should be able to keep it for a good long time. She just needs to have a sense of humor about it. Maybe she can tell people who ask that her car caught a case of the pox when it was a motor scooter, before it grew up?

I'm not car driven, but I know that many people are. I wouldn't think twice about keeping a car so damaged. My Subaru is 14 years old, has many scratches, scrapes, dents, and dings, and the only way I'm getting rid of it any time soon is if it self destructs.

I am like you Kframe but you know 18 yr old kids....cars are the thing....she does know she doesn't have a option....but to drive it....but the little tight wad does have 3000.00 saved in the bank....so she is just going to keep saving and get another one one day! I wish I could save like her and this from a waitress job!!! She sure makes me proud! Stacy

Back in the fall of 1995 our town got a horrible, horrible hail storm. Every roof in town needed new shingles etc. windows broke everywhere, Cars totalled out left and right.
A teacher bought a brand new car, driving it home from the dealership it got hailed out, totaled! We had golf ball and baseball sized hail for like 20 minutes. He is still driving the car! LOL Now that really would suck wouldn't it?
New windows and she will be so good to go!

I bought a 20-year-old Mazda, standard tranny, a couple of years ago - from an auto insurance adjuster.

He'd installed a couple of plastic bullet-hole-appearing things around the rear passenger side and asked whether he should remove them ... and I replied that he could leave them be, that they weren't hurting anything.

They've been a topic of conversation on several occasions.

No doubt hers will be, as well, in future.

Tell Syd to tell her friends that someone was trying to knock some sense into her head ... and got her and the car mixed up.
