Does anyone know who makes a stool like this besides Christians?

OK my faith is restored..after finally taking the time to poke around I am finally "getting it" and its not as bad as I was thinking yesterday!

Anyday does anyone know where who makes this stool? I know there are two manufacturers who copied this stool from Christians and I had it bookmarked for one day then my comp crashed and i can no longer find it!! So frustrating..figured all you pros might be able to help?

How strange! I looked at my original post this morning to happily find others are as annoyed as I, and discovered that the Forum Masters had added a "link" to the word "y-a-r-d" in my post complaining about them adding links!! Didn't have time to respond then but checked again this evening and the link is mysteriously gone! Yippee! Maybe the powers-that-be have read about our discontent and decided it wasn't such a great idea. Could it be true? If so - Thank You from all of us!! I agree with Jazzbone - nothing could keep me from visiting or enjoying you all and your wonderful work and ideas either! I have a great pop-up-blocker. When I figure out what it is and where it came from I will let you know. It gives you the option of accepting pop-ups at certain sites but blocks all if you wish. Have to go play in concrete now! Made my first 2-part mother mold (for a silicone caulk mold I made Thanks to Nofu) and can't wait to try it out. It was WAY easier than I had anticipated. Whew! Let me know if anyone would like instructions. I was so NOT looking forward to making a mother mold and was slightly intimidated by the process - 'til I figured it out. E-Z! Bucky

Thanks Peg, as I said in my article, occassionally plumerias will pop a root from the side of the bark during the rooting process. This is however a very rare even. Most plumerias do not develop any roots from the side of the bark during the rooting process. In addition, as they grow older, none ever develops roots from the side of the bark. What I am trying to acheive in my current project is not just to make a root or two from the side of the bark but rather to develop two to four times the number of roots that are at the botttom. This way, the plumeria plant will be anchored very well and will be very vigorous. George

I don't know about those bar stools, but I can tell you we have very comfortable stools that are similar to a saddle seat but much wider and more comfortable. They are called Cabinfever sawhorse counter stool by Liberty Furniture. They are also not expensive - we ordered them locally and paid around $70 per stool plus $25 each to have them painted black and slightly distressed by our cabinet maker. We also did not want a back on our stools and found these to be the most comfortable option. We ordered many different stools from different places and found it is important to consider the height of the bottom rung where you rest your feet. This height is perfect. The seat top is 14x18" and comfortable to sit on and linger. We also have a couple extra saddle seat stools in storage that we bring out when we need more storage - so we definitely notice how much smaller that seat is - 9x18" The picture I'm linking has the sawhorse stool at the counter and it slides under nicely. You don't even have to post the picture. Is there an online store that has the stool? Just go to their website, with the page that has the stool. Copy the URL address, then put it down below in the "optional link URL" box, and give it a name, like "christian stool". Hit preview, then submit. Voila!
We have all had our moments of frustration with the site, but the info and guidance we've recieved is far greater!

The chair style is a Federal Period cane back chair.

Artistic Frame makes a Thomas Sheraton cane back frame that can be ordered as a barstool. Each order is custom and the price varies significantly from finish to finish. You can even buy the raw frame and get them finished locally.

Hi thanks just went to see them, its very similiar but those are very traditional looking, my kitchen is more transitional. I think we are go for the french cane back chairs we found at a nearby local shop...at 289.00 on sale they are a bargain and look great. Thanks though for that site, its a neat site and I will bookmark it for another time....
