I've been running the applique lotto twice a year, Jan./Feb. and July/Aug. alternating with the paper pieced lotto in April/May and Oct./Nov. This gives everyone two months to complete their blocks and gives us a month long break in between each. If there's enough interest, perhaps we could modify this, but so far (I think), everyone is pretty happy with this schedule. Next month I'll add this information to the sign up post. I don't know why I hadn't thought about doing so sooner. ;) Cathy

Cathy, thanks! I am so excited. Doing a happy quilt dance. This is too cool. I have lots going on here and was glad to be able to participate this month. My sewing room just got moved to the basement and my mother is going to move in with us. I will have to go down tonight and start getting things straightened up. It will be a chore for sure. I also made a drink koozie for my friend and some people saw it and now about 8 people want me to make them one. I can charge money, too but don't have any idea how much. They are easy. Hazelnutbunny, I'll get that address off to you this evening. You'll do fine with the points. Some directions are easier than others to get them to line up well. Many times, when I have a lot of triangles to do, I modify the pattern from working with little triangles, to using two squares, and seaming them down the middle and cutting off the waste to use later in a scrappy. Those bias seams are doosies. I also starch bias seams before I sew them and handle them carefully now. I was amazed at the play in them and always wondered why my triangles were out of shape and my points off. I'm still working on it too! I also have to make a fabric run for this one, but thank goodness for fat quarters!
