It would be good if you made a password reset key. This key will keep working even if your password is changed or forgoten. If you Format your hard drive It will not work anymore until you Reset this key. Go to User Account Open - click Administrator Acc. - At the left top click - Prevent a Forgoten Password. (If you have a Floppy Drive you can get in here) If you don't have a Floppy you will need a USB Device. Mine is called a USB SanDisk (256MB) It cost about $18.00 If you can't get in their go in at sign-in and set your Reset Key. You will need the password to get in and a Password has to be made before a Password Resed Key can be made.

A Sandisk that connects by USB works just fine for your reset disk. Mine cost about $20.00 and I've had it for a long time. If you should Format your hard drive than you will need to update your Reset Disk. If you change your password your Reset Disk will still work without resetting it. If you normally don't use a password you will need to create a password before your computer will allow you to make a Reset Disk. The password can be removed and anyone does put a password in your computer without your knowledge your Reset Disk will allow you in to set a new password. This keeps other from blocking you from using your own PC. I helped someone who had this very same problem.

I cannot say under what circumstances or why due to an employment confidentiality agreement, but I weekly see too many instances of young people age 16 to majority which were/are victims of parental neglect. I am not speaking of physical, environmental or mental abuse. I am speaking of neglect. Neglect where the parents couldn't care or wouldn't care as to the conduct, activity, and development of their offspring. Besides the lack of guidance the neglect contributes to the development of a cavalier attitude by the youth. The attitude over time will manifest itself into a demeanor which is rebellious, counter productive to society, and difficult to modify. Youths develop their own opinions and test boundaries as they mature. This is normal and to be expected. Adults (read parents and/or guardians here) are expected to be there as a superiority figure and guidance. When maturing a youth expects and wants limitations as there is still a sense of security in having them. There is also a feeling of accomplishment when complying with directives. Unfortunately too often adults want to be their friends, don't care, or are just too " busy". What's even worse is when the apathy rises to a level where the adult is excusatory for the youths. The socialist precept of "It takes a village....." is in error. It takes a parent/guardian. Owbist, Thank you for the kind words. FYI: All my children are in their thirties. They were all scholar athletes in high school and members of "Who's Who in High School America". They all graduated from college and have careers. I never had to bail them out of jail or take them to a drug clinic. It wasn't easy, but who said it would be. They are now all married, and the girls got the boyfriend, marriage, child, in the right order. Three lovely and adorable grandchildren. The fruits of focused parenting have been rewarded and I consider myself the luckiest man in the world. DA
