You don't want the crib to be next to the blinds. Dangerous.

Will you be keeping the bed in the room? if not, then why not put the crib against the wall where the bed head is now?

i think the only thing 'hazardous' about putting the crib next to the window would be the window treatment. they make cordless honeycomb and woven wood shades which i think would be fine and safe. you can have the shades made with blackout liner to keep the room dark. or you can just have lined drapes on the window with no shade.

The twin bed will not be in the room. The only furniture going into the room will be the crib, glider and ottoman, and that white tall dresser. The other white drawers are built-ins.
Our blinds are supposed to be "child proof" but they make me nervous. I am considering getting plantation shutters- that would solve all issues w/ the cords and strings.

I really don't think I would lose any sleep over furniture placement. There is not much furniture and all of it easily m oveable whatever you decide. Figure out a color scheme, I like the plantation shutter idea and move things around until you find something that works.
I see no reason why the crib needs to be against a wall... at one time I had the crib sort of angled in the room, made it easier to change the sheets.

Do you need that tall white armoire, since you already have the built-in drawers and the large closet?

If yes, then I would put the tall dresser where the head of the bed is now.

If there is room, I would put the crib on the wall you first suggested, between the window and the built-ins.

I would get a changing pad for the top of the built-in and use that as the changing table. It will be very convenient in the middle of the night when you are sleepy to just move to the left and change her, rather than taking her into the bathroom.

I would try the rocker and ottoman in the corner where the windows meet. A perfect place to sit with the baby.
