Yes, the heat can be a concern. They probably wont die unless neglected a long time but heat of 90F will stress them. It can quickly get up to 120 in a greenhouse when it is warm outside. The essentially stop growing much after about 92F (enzymes/proteins) start to degrade. A little heat stress as a hardening process would not be a bad thing (90F for a few hours). Just make sure they have plenty of water, some air movement and the heat doesn't last too long. Warm humid conditions with little air flow could increase disease problems.

Thank you for the responses. I re-read my post, sounds a bit rambling. I just finished looking at an Elle Decor, then going into a Marshall's Homegoods...and feeling overwhelmed. Fortunately I *LOVE* eclectic style. I like quirky, and I already know that I don't want my home to look like a builders model or that every room look like it was decorated from the same store. That being said...I have seen some pictures of "eclectic" that pretty much look like "crazy" so I am just wary of that. hilltop-yes, I can see you get what I am feeling! I like that quote about having anything, just not everything. So true, and I will try to remember that. forhgtv-For some reason, I feel very strongly that the exterior of a house should be somewhat continued inside...and I am not sure why I feel this way? I guess because I do feel strongly about it...I should roll with it and not fight it. I do like my house exterior, so that's a plus. I do agree about my friends'houses. You know that feeling after having your first glass of wine, and everyone is talking and laughing and the kids are playing outside...and you notice some quirky piece of art or furniture...or how the light of the sunset changes the hue of the wall paint...or how the sleek stainless steel bowl of chips looks so cool against the rough, rustic wood table. THAT'S the feeling I want people to get in *MY* house...although I know it has more to do with the good company (and good wine, LOL) than anything else. cear-yes, I am trying to do that. You know, as depressing as this is...I think being on a tight budget makes it difficult, too. I saw a piece of artwork that i loved...and considered it for our dining room. It was $400 and while that is not much for artwork for some people...it is a lot of $$$ when I don't have much of anything else in the dining room. I am afraid that even though I love this piece of art...now I am locked into that color scheme/style...and I still have not done window treatments, or gotten an area rug etc. I just don't know what to start with, and if money was not such a big issue, I could say, "Well, if this piece of art doesn't work in here, I'll get something else." I am scared to commit. But sheesh...i gotta start somewhere, and I know this! Ok, I am afraid I am rambling again. You mentioned that at blossom time you sprayed a product with pyrethrin? Normally, people spray only a fungicide at blossom time as insecticides at that time will endanger the bees pollinating your apple trees. Thus the lament of buying a product containing Both a fungicide and insecticide combined. These types of products are ok to use but not during the bloom time. This is why I prefer to purchase insecticides and fungicides separately and not as a pre-mix. I do not live in California so I can only offer advice on what works for me in WI. First, plum curculio is primarily cosmetic on apples as the crescent shaped scar that you see on the young fruits will turn into a big russet mark on the apple as it expands to maturity by fall. The flesh under this mark will be fine, just the skin will be ugly. Young apple fruits expand in size so rapidly in spring that curuculio eggs normally are crushed and not successful in hatching. In my part of the country, curculio season is over sometime mid-late June. However, we get two generations of coddling moth and also the dreaded apple maggot to contend with the rest of the growing season (til late August). If these pests are also in your area, then bagging will still at least protect the fruit from damage from maggot and coddling moth. Value to apples damaged by PC? Yes they should still be good for applesauce, pie, cobbler ect once the fruit ripens. I would rather have apples damaged by PC (peel the damage away) then try to use apples laced with apple maggot or coddling moth larvae. Photos of young crescent shapes curculio scars on young apple. Second shot shows curculio scars expanded on near ripe fruit. I have bagged before and find it works great provided I bag as soon as possible once the fruit reaches the size of a dime. Lots of work bagging, but then you don't have to worry about spraying the rest of the season. Works good for those who only have a few trees. Since I have 11 apples and 2 pears, I find it easier to spray. Yes Imidan is great for controlling curculio assuming you don't mind the smell, having to buy in 4 lb lots, and assuming it is not a restricted use pesticide in your state (unless you have an applicator's license). It really does work well on apples. Glad to hear you have lots of fruit this year! Hope you are saving the canning jars. Many in WI lost a lot of their crop to a late spring frost.

I originally thought your first two pics might be progress photos and that there was more Kerdi yet to be installed. But your later photos show tile going over an unwaterproofed niche, the upper part of the door jamb with no kerdi, and your last photo shows bare wood behind the durock at the niche corner. In addition to what has already been written about, I am also a bit curious about the waterproofing at the shower entry, at the curb-jamb intersection as seen in the bottom right corner of the third photo. It may indeed be there, but I don't see any overlapping of Kerdi with residual schmears of thinset in the curb-to-jamb corner. If there is incomplete waterproofing in that spot, that'd be a huge issue, because that area will likely see pooled water every time the shower is used. These are the thought processes that I do not understand; the installers that take an advanced product like Kerdi and only install half as much as needed to properly waterproof a shower. Some of what they install seems to have been done with care and concern. In other areas it's done with ignorance or apathy.
