anyone with a built in coffeemaker?

i have one regret now that my kitchen is almost done with only the wall backsplash tiles left to do. I realized that i would have really loved to have had a built in coffee station. now, i see that they take up a large amount of space. i have not noticed too many of them here either, or am i just missing them? anyone who has one, please post photos. i see that bosch makes one that is not built in. i might have to look at that one more closely. any input on built in ones or any of them as far as which ones to look at?

I have spent the last 48 hours looking at these... from $350. Lance Larkin Brew Express (coffee only) to $2500. crown of my kitchen machines. I would love to hear what others think. Do they make great coffee? Can you fill a travel mug? I'm only interested in plumbed units, otherwise, what's the point! Lance Larkin uses "Mr. Coffee" type filter, not "Melita" conical shape. I have always thought those make lousy coffee. Maybe it's just that lousy (def. as weak, tepid, or DECAF!) coffee drinkers use "Mr. Coffee" and Folgers in the 5 lb. can! Ugh! Difficult to put a whole in the wall when filled with uncertainty. But how nice to have a piping hot cup on demand. Please do respond. TIA.

i have the brewmaster and love it-good strong coffee. half pot setting is perfect for the two of us and coffee piping hot. 2 cup setting makes a full mug but not quite hot enough.

I have owned the Gevalia coffee maker for several years. I love the thermal carafe - can make a pot and take it with me on trips, fishing, etc. The coffee maker itself operates just like any other coffee maker, except that the heating element cuts off automatically once the coffee has made. The carafe keeps the coffee hot for several hours and it doesn't get that "day old" taste that coffee will have after it sits on a hot element for any length of time. No, I do not use their coffee - did for awhile, but too expensive for regular use. My problem was not with the coffee maker but rather with the company. They would make unauthorized shipments at Christmas time, etc. And when I asked for coffee shipments to be cancelled, I would keep getting shipments. When I returned the shipments they would not give me credit. Finally I just kept refusing the shipments by writing 'REFUSED' across the shipping box. Still got billed for those shipments. Finally sent letter via registered mail, return receipt requested. I should have known...When I first ordered the coffee maker I waited for it to come for almost 2 months, then had to call and ask about it. My check had cleared ($12.00 I think it was on their special offer) They assured me it would be sent right away, which it was. Then a couple of months later, I got a second coffee maker. I called them and asked where to return it since I had a duplicate shipment. They said they had no record of it - and I kept telling the girl I didn't need a 2nd one, didn't want it. She told me if I shipped it back it would mess up their inventory. I never got billed for it, so after about a year I just gave it away. Don't know how they are now, but they were not very good at record keeping a few years ago.

I was just looking in to Connor Homes and found these comments helpful. I have been disappointed that after several attempts to reach them I have not received any return phone calls or emails. I'm in New Hampshire and kept trying to find out more information when I stumbled on only TWO local articles stating that Connor Homes just laid off their entire workforce. One article was published by a local Vermont newspaper on January 3, 2017 and the other on January 4,2017. Connor Homes Lays off workforce - Jan 4, 2017 the other article is longer and states the entire workforce is furloughed for the entire month while they re-group; Connor Homes furloughs entire workforce to "regroup financially" - For me I plan to stay away. I was wondering why their process timeline was 11-12 months which is as long or longer than stick built. Now I know why and for anyone looking at them note that I had to really dig to find these local Vermont articles about the layoff of the entire company, not a good sign.

I will go along with others - we decided against the all-in-ones because of the all-too-often occurrence of burning out one appliance and still having the other one work. (It reeked of some of the things our cars have that are integrated these days, causing you to replace two items when only one "went".) We bought a Cuisinart Grind Central, about $26 from the military exchange. It's got a stainless steel housing, the grinder cup is removable (and can be washed in the DW), and the plastic cover can also be washed in the DW. It's really EASY to use. Problems - small ones only - the cord storage is a pain in the neck to use - it's rather noisy (but I have yet to find a really QUIET one under $50) - and don't use the grinder cup's measure lines unless you like your coffee like mud, use a coffee measure! As for a coffeemaker - we love the Bunn that we bought. We seem to go through coffeemakers every 7-8 years, so we're on our 2nd Bunn. If something happens to this one, we'd probably buy another one - only in black to match the kitchen! DonnaR/CA

Hi! We’re currently building our Northfield Manor (finally!) with a few modifications similar to the photos displayed on the Frank Betz website. Framing is complete with roofing, windows/doors and roughs starting this week! We moved the pantry door so that you enter via the breakfast nook. Does anyone have a photo of how they did any built-in shelving in there to maximize the space? Thanks in advance!

My appliance distributor says the expensive, built-in ones are NOT worth it and give them so many troubles.

Hi...my guy bought the Lance Larkin Brew Express mentioned above...$350 I believe. It's a cute little thing....about 12" tall and not even that wide. It is plumbed (his one MUST in the new kit lol!)and you can either brew a 4 cup small carafe or do indiv cups...nice flexibility. It has nice styling....sort of half moon, goes between the wall studs.

Unfortunately we don't have it in yet so I can't tell you how it works. We'd take a chance on something this simple but never on the more complicated, EXPENSIVE ones. They just aren't worth it IMHO. $3000???

Miele has units, which take coffee beans and grind them afresh for you Â for about $2600 (yes, you can put the already ground coffee in too). I'm most tempted by one, but the price is holding me back.

I'm also unsure of the output Â my favorite coffee-machine so far is Lavazza's Espressopoint, but they require capsules (thus limiting your coffee-choices), aren't built-in, and aren't offered to consumers Â only corporate (though eBay has them).

The appliance salesman said, they have no complaints about Miele's coffee-makers, although cheaper ones are, indeed, trouble-prone, according to him...
