-help my niece take her 2 sons (my great-nephews who are 2 and 9 weeks and just soooo very cute) to the doctors for check-ups and then off for coffee/snacks and to the park

-do a couple of errands

-housework

Today I am hoping to finish up the work on a computer I have been cleaning up and updating for a neighbor.

Tracking on my new 13" tablet shows it is supposed to arrive today so if it does I know I will be spending time setting it up to my liking.

Putting some ribeyes in the fridge with marinade for hubby to cook out tonight. Grilling some fresh corn to go with it.

It has been just beautiful here yesterday and today. Great sunny skies, mild temps and cool breezes. Currently 69 and blue skies.

I have some plants I bought that need replanting I hope to get time for that today too. The Atrium is finally starting to look pretty, alive and green and colorful with the new plant additions.

I think I'd at least close the windows so your 'girls' don't know what you are cooking, Sue ;) No chickens here but I've had what seems like a yard full of birds this morning including hummingbirds and one very pretty but pesky sapsucker...

Busy today. I just finished watering houseplants and started my third load of clothes washing. Kitchen floor feels bad under bare feet so that's next. I need to make a quick trip to the bank for some cash.

I'm taking a break later this afternoon, planning to go to the garden open at Heronswood tomorrow (I haven't been there since the closing that took place in 2006), take in a couple of other favorite nurseries in that area. I've usually done that route alone, and from home (139 miles one way), but DH is going and we're spending the night near there tonight to be closer, make tomorrow easier. It seems like so much of the time I'm planning things around family or other people, this trip is just for me ;) I need some garden inspiration and have always been able to find it there, paper and pen in hand, taking notes.

For starters I am going to eat lunch then I am going to get a bath and get dressed. And then I am going to water the plants. And get ready to fry french fries while Tony grills out hamburgers & hot dogs.

Raining buckets here today, so besides throwing towles on the floor in the basement I am:

1. washing and drying hair (done)
2. pretending that I am not getting a toothache (doing)
3. Going to the grocery store (will do soon)

Trying to figure out what my boy and I will do this weekend (movie? exploring? vegging out? all of the above!) since he's about to finish school, but start on camps. He's got band camp and church camp in June, another band camp in July, and school starts the first of August. Doesn't leave much fun time. Boo! Oh, and next week he's gone to a school camp. Last hurrah before finals.

A pullet is a young girl chicken, not old enough to be a hen. Mine are 2 1/2 months old. They won't start laying till around fall. I have 4 others that I did not let out as they are fairly young just over a month. I have a total of 15 pullets. I am getting a new hen house built by my son in law Kevin.

It's been rainy much of this week, but hasn't started in yet today. Weather guy says it will though by evening. I'm ready to start sharing with anyone who doesn't have enough.

I had to go run errands in town and get my mail.

Next was go to the teeny, tiny store where I get a lot of my meat. Spent a bundle there.

When driving home, I saw this small shed with a sign saying "Amish home baked goods". Of course I had to stop. There was a broad plank across a muddy ditch, then a narrow gravel path up to the shed. No one was in it....just a 'self-serve' sign. I've been to vegetable roadside stands set up that way, but not for baked goods. I got a small loaf of whole wheat bread and a small sized pecan pie....about the size of a large pot pie.

2. going out shopping for cleaning supplies, black plastic, and a couple other things so I can start massive clean up of the house and yard.

3. watch videos on laying laminate flooring later. Because that's what I plan to do while I'm on vacation. Hopefully Lauren and I can do it ourselves.

3) Walked the cat around the yard on his harness, while digging dandylions

As always, laundry, vacuuming, making dinner.

We're in Pensacola, Fl. Still pumping standing water out of yard after horrendous rain and flooding here 10 days ago. Thankfully no flooding in the house. Also buying new shoes today with coupon and playing dominoes with friends tonight.

Rainy day here in NY. I had lunch with friends from my old job. Going home I forgot to move over two lanes and had to get off and find my way back to the highway! Ugh! Thanks goodness for map quest on my phone.

Dropped mom's friend off at airport.

Pulled a wonderful dog from our local shelter and took her to foster care. She had been at shelter far too long and was sooo happy to get to go to a home. Best part of my day!!

Grocery shopping. Worst part of day lol.

Worked with new dog that we found walking on a lonely rode. Was amazed that it is a pit bull Dixie mix! It is a tiny dog, so how did that happen???? Face of a bit and body do a Dixie. Also have my two Grandkids with us. One is out of school and the other ends school this week.
