flash flood debris in pool- help please

Hi -

Today, we got 6" of rain and some runoff flowed onto the deck and into my pool. The pool was flooded with debris consisting of dirt, mulch, leaves, etc. and now it is lovely brown color. What do I do to clean it? The pump has not turned on yet so there's no debris in the system. I figured I will keep it off until I have a game plan. My pool is 16K gallon salt water pool with a Diamond Bright finish.

What do I do to start the cleaning process. Run the pump 24/7? Let the crud settle to the bottom before activating the pump? Drain the pool? I work during the day so I can't monitor the filter pressure and backwash immediately when the pressure rises with all of the crud... Will the crud ruin my slat water cell? So many questions, but I'm afraid that this is new ground for me. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you
