Frogs, I wish I could hear them. Well maybe I should rephrase that. I would not mind hearing a few frogs. When we lived on the farm we had one of the large ponds pretty close to the house. Well it would get so loud you honestly felt like you were going to loose your mind. There were so many. We finally had some high school boys who went frogging. It was funny at the time. Not many people we had talked to had ever eaten frog legs. Me I don't eat meat. But some do like them. Any way we had to have them do that for a couple of years to get the population back under control. My picture window would vibrate I kid you not. If the compost has trash in it I don't think I will go get any. I am wanting this for around all my new plants and such. If I had not already had all that dirt hauled in last fall it might be an option. Bonnie

I am in Middle Tennessee, and am hoping we don't get too much more of those tornado spawning storms! I have had a Rose Breasted Grosbeak at my feeder a couple of times, and day before yesterday I saw an Indigo Bunting! I got so excited, it was a blue bird that I was not familiar with so I had to go look it up!

nicole -- I'm 30 miles north of Chicago. msmarion -- Well! *I* have an orchid too! (Just one, a Mother's Day gift, but it's actually staying alive and has two more new blooms opening on it. Remarkable for me!) patti43 -- Trouble is it rained HARD all night. I'm still hearing helicopters overhead, so I guess others have a lot bigger problems than a damp basement. I've just noticed that there is water in the conservancy behind our house. Bet houses on the far side of it have pumps emptying into it. I haven't seen that before; we've been here since 2001.

From everything I've read, and I've done pretty extensive research, DG, if all your windows are failing it's most likely the installer. Can't be sure, but it's not likely that "a bunch" of windows would all fail simultaneously, one bad one maybe, but not all. Thermal Industries, while not the top of the heap has a reasonably good reputation, and has been around for 50 years so I'd try to stay on the installers to resolve this. I doubt Thermal would be in business this long if this was consistently a problem. I have some Thermal Industries sliders which have performed fine, but this company may not be the best window for my current needs. All of the comments I've received have been very helpful. I've decided to go with the Sunrise Pro. Thanks again.
