Egads... I am too embarassed to put it in print!

Threw a whole, dressed, cooked turkey against the wall.
The cats loved me. Ex-BF, not so much. LOL

Once, my daughter refused to get ready to leave her aunt's house, so I slapped her across the face. I cried when I saw my red hand print on her cheek. I wish I could have had a Time Machine to go back and un-do it.

kicked my young lads butt when he was going up the stairs one time...and connected where I shouldnt have--nothing to be proud of,but he didnt do what he did to get that ever again either.

jannie -- That (sadly) reminds me: Our DS was verrry slow to potty train. He was still wetting his pants regularly at three. One day he came into the house from playing and there it was, the big wet spot on the front of his pants. Again! Second time in hours! I pulled his belt out of the pant loops and pulled down the wet pants and undershorts. I still had the belt in my hand, and...I whacked him once across his bottom with the belt! He just *looked* at me; no tears. I'm the one who cried and said, "So sorry."

I wish I could say that's the only time I struck him. There was one more time, when he was in high school -- smarting off, defying me, lying about doing his schoolwork. I slapped his face. I wasn't completely sorry that time. He sure deserved *something*, and we'd already been through groundings, etc. Still, I should not have acted in anger. (It didn't help, anyway!)

Maybe twice in one child's life isn't so terrible for HIM? It was too much for ME!

I used to be wound a lot tighter! Up til ten years ago I would occaisionally throw something after getting bad news. If I was on the phone, I would usually throw the phone against the wall. I think I have mellowed out considerably, or is THAT the definition of growing up?

The worst thing I've ever done when really upset is tell someone I hated them. It's not something I ever say, and I didn't mean it.

I have used very sharp words that deeply hurt others' feelings.

I was in high school at the time and was over weight and highly sensitive. It was Thanksgiving Day and My brother was teasing me about my weight and wouldn't let up. When we went to the dinner table he put two chairs together and said "here's Karen's place"! Everyone laughed but I got so mad that I dumped the entire bowl of mashed potatos on his head.

I am not one to react physcially when I am mad. I think the only time I ever threw something was a pound of bacon. I tried to hit my husband, but missed and hit the wall...left a greasy mark. Oh, and I also threw a plate full of food out the door once. I don't remember who I was mad at that time.

Twice I threw a punch at someone who insulted my Big Brother. He was the first Hippie in my small town. It was boys too! I've never hit a girl.

I got really angry at DH during dinner one night and threw a glass of milk at him.......didn't hit him but scared the heck out my my two toddlers.
I wish I could erase that image on the minds of all.

When DS#2 was a baby, couple months old, he was not sleeping well at night, he might have had a cold or something. But I had been up pacing and rocking him several nights in a row. I was trying to do it quiety and let DH sleep. But this night DH got up, came out to the living room and proceeded to tell me how to get him to sleep, how a co-worker told him to "let the baby cry it out." I told him thanks but no thanks, I'd stay up and let him sleep, it was my problem. DH kept at it, telling me what to do. I was tired and cranky, and irritated that DH would tell me how to do it, but not actually DO anything.

So I spit in DH's face. That is the one act of anger I remember the most.

One other night, before the spit, when #1 was a baby I had been up several times and DH slept through it all. Next morning DH woke up all happy and said "Wow! He slept through the night!" I got up and physically lifted my side of the king size matress enough to tip DH out of the other side and onto the floor, then said "No! He did NOT sleep through the night! But I'm glad you did!" I didn't think that was really bad, though. But the spitting night... I regret that.

Like another here, my teen son was mouthing off and I smacked him right on the mouth - it's like my hand had a life of it's own and just flew away from me. I was even more shocked than he was at the time.

I suspect this is not the worst thing I have ever done, maybe not by far, but it's the one that haunts me to this day - 14 years later.

He told me not too long ago he didn't even remember the incident. It's time for me to just let it go, for pete's sake.

My sister was a " thrower" during her very early married years. I never got that. She threw stuff she liked or at least wanted, it broke into a gazillion pieces, then she had to clean it up.

What's up with THAT?!?

I told her to invest in plastic plates but she said that wasn't as satifying for that split second when things crashed and broke *LOL*

It didn't last long, she quickly saw the light ;)

Throwing a glass Christmas present down the stairs. I was sooooo mad!

oh boy i aint touching this one with a 10 ft pole!!!!!! lol

Done alot, but nothing in writing. Seems to come back to haunt me. Probaby my big mouth and flash temper

I haven't killed anyone yet, though I have thought about it! LOL

I have spit in someone's else food. I'm passive aggressive.

When I was about 14 I got so mad at my mother I threw an RC Cola bottle at her, it missed her head (by a mile) and hit wall and put a hole in it!!! Then it rolled on her bed and spilled all over the place. We were both so surprised at what I did it was hard not to laugh. I think she started grinning at me and as I was yelling I just started laughing. That made me madder!! LOL

The hole in the wall was a reminder to me for a long time. It never happened again. Now my little brother was another story....

I am really very passive, BUT, one time I threw plate of food at my ex boyfriend, for some off the wall remark he said about my cooking. It left my hand like a frisbee. Amazingly it hit him square in the forehead and the gash was bleeding forever. I was so proud of myself, and really smirked at my awesome landing. I left the house laughing my arse off. I cleaned up bits of brussel sprouts for a week. He was a jerk, and deserved it. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have never hit the broad side of a barn since then.

I got mad at our teenage son several years ago because he was doing poorly in school and being a smark alec. I gave him a burr haircut. Cut off all his hair. It brought him around but was maybe a bit harsh.

Testified in court against a very close relative. I was upset I had to do it, upset it had come to this. Not something I ever wanted to do, but something that needed done. As a matter of fact, I'm still upset.

The one that comes to mind is pulling a guy's antenna off his car and brandishing it at him with it in a parking lot dispute. I was probably PMSing at the time. I had really bad mood swings when I was younger.

I've done "worse" but "worse" is relative to whether my action was deserved or not. The antenna thing was over-reacting on my part.

I never threw anything I would have to clean up. I mouthed off many times to my mother and my husband. I regret getting physical with my son and slapping him on the bottom a few times. Would never do it again.

Probably kicking and denting a car belonging to some arsehole who blocked the sidewalk in such a way that I had to detour (on foot) out into very busy traffic in the rain. What I should have done was to call the police.

i slapped my then teenage dd2 on christmas day..it's taken YEARS for me to get over that...(she turns 33 next month)

Thank you to the moms who admitted hitting their children. I feel a little better. DS evidently was not ruined -- he's 38, married, with one four-year-old boy who is probably going to *test* every boundary.

Maybe it wasn't SO awful to strike once in the heat of anger. Maybe worse would be a cold-hearted whipping?

Whidbeykathy, although I never had to do this, there was a period of time where - if called upon, I would have had to also because it would have been a necessary thing. I thank God it never came to that.

I hope you will let it go and not accept any blame of your necessary action, this was not a wrong doing on your part, you should not accept or give yourself blame. All that will ever accomplish is a deflection from the person who behaved badly enough that this became a necessary action which caused you a lot of unhappiness - keep the focus where it belongs - on the wrong doer. But not for that person, you would not be going through this grief.

You did the RIGHT thing and are to be commended for doing the right thing despite the hardship this caused to you. Never allow youself or anyone else to tell you differently.

... and likely wouldn't tell, if I did!

I threw a very nice horse statue at a full length mirror and I was not out of control. My husband was living with me while he made up his mind who he wanted, me or his x wife. I wanted him out and that was the only way to get him to know how serious I was. He left and came back in two weeks and we were married 33 years with no other serious problem. I was/am not embarrassed or ashamed of it.
