Susan- it looks fantastic. And I noticed you did include your radio tower! I hope you have great success. I think the photos that are hanging on the wall really have a great visual impact. I hope I get a chance to visit the library in June.

Nice. They look terrific and I'm sure they will be appreciated by Library patrons.
Even if the photos can not be sold from the exhibit you can always leave name and # cards on each and around the library for patrons interested in purchasing your artwork to call you for details.

Thanks, everyone! Yes, I included the radio tower. The "curator" at the library referred to it as "somewhat industrial," but I figured at least it has birds!

They're all for sale. The library asked for a supply of my cards, which they displayed with my bio. At first I assumed I wouldn't sell any, and that was fine. I was happy just to be able to show them. Quite a few hundreds of dollars in expenses later, I'm thinking it sure would be nice to get some of that money back. I'm still not counting on selling any, though.

They look great and I hope you make some sales!

I really love the trees, the half a sunflower(I presume) - they are all excellent but if I had to pick two those would be the ones.
In the last grouping, the one on the farthest right, is it a painting or a photograph? It looks very intriguing and I would love to see it full on...

Suzan, the "sunflower" is actually a daisy, covered with dew. I had it printed in B&W, but here it is in color:

I was undecided about doing the trees in color or B&W. I like both. The color shot was subtle, and I was tempted. But I felt it was a good graphic in B&W.

The one you asked about is a photograph (they're all photos) of the inside of a peony. It looks like a little red elf residing in the flower. When I get back to the library I'll take some pics of the hanging ones full on.

Oh good - I'm glad you're going to post more photos. I was curious about the hanging frames that have 3 photos in each frame. And in the second shot that you posted here - what's in between the trees on the left and the window on the right. It looks like an architectural embellishment.

Wow, I love it! Your photos are beautiful and I like the frames. I know frames can be expensive, did you find a good deal somewhere? I have a ton of photos from all my travels the last three years and would love to print some and hang them down my hall at home.

Here's a hint: the actual subject measured less than an inch.

Jodi, it's funny about the frames. (Well, not so funny, actually.) In my original vision for this display, I was going to use all 5x7 prints in wide-mat museum frames like the ones holding the grasshopper and frosty rose in the second-to-last picture. Since I had a lot of advance notice about the exhibit, I trotted off to AC Moore with my weekly coupons, and collected these frames for 40% off. But when I got the first print order back, I liked the way they looked so much that I decided to go bigger on a lot of them.

By this time I no longer had the luxury of using weekly coupons. So I had to pay full price for many of the larger frames and separate mats. All the frames came from Michael's and AC Moore. I bought on sale when I could. The mats were never on sale, and I went for the thickest or double ones. The frames certainly aren't high-end, but they weren't the cheapest of the cheap either. I tried to go for sturdy.

Although I love thin black frames and white mats, I wish I had bought more of the wide black frame (that holds the katydid in the fourth picture). I tried to use it w/o a mat at first. It looked fabulous, but of course the print would eventually stick to the glass. So I scrapped that idea.

Susan, those are beautiful. You've done such a professional job. Since yard work season is here I haven't been here everyday, but I' sure glad I made it today to see these.
