It's a pretty and breezy day here. I can't believe I'm still wheezing and coughing after over 3 weeks. At least I feel a whole lot better than I did a few days ago. I hope to get outside and do some gardening this weekend and clean the house up some. I have a co-worker coming Sunday to look at the pool. I've decided to sell it, the deck and hot tub.

It would free up so much room for a garden and eventually a nice patio area. I would love to put in a nice, brick patio in a few years.

Got on-line to look at my bank account this morning to make sure my paycheck was there, took forever and it hadn't showed up, but that stimulus check was there. So, I called my bank, paycheck is there. Everyone must be looking on-line to see if that stimulus check is there and it's really messing up their system-lol.

Did you get your's?

I have to go out sometime today and grocery shop. I'm doing laundry, as usual. Time to spring clean and wash the couch and chair covers in the sunroom. My white Christmas tree is still up out there!

It's raining here. 43Â°. A good day for ironing my summer things that require a touch up. First, I'll have to bring up my ironing board that went to the basement when DD and DGK's were living here.
I might make that crock pot steak dish again this afternoon. Mom really liked it too, and it is easy for her to eat, because I got the tenderized round steak.
If the weather stays like it is right now, I'll probably sneak a nap in there sometime too. It's a lazy, cloudy, rainy day. I can't do the yard work I want to do. I have to trim back my butterfly bush, and my hardy hibiscus.

How come I indent my paragraph's and when it's posted, they aren't indented?

My stimulus ck should be in my acct next Friday. There were 3 groups for direct deposit (depending on last 2 digits of your SS#). Mine's in the last group. It's my understanding that if you're going to get an actual ck in the mail, they'll start going out next Friday also.

grammahony, it's the same way if you want to leave more than a space after you end a sentence. It 'closes in the gaps' so to speak.

I've never seen bedbugs except for the pictures on the web. Kath, I hope you had no hitchhikers. You certainly took plenty of precautions, I bet you'll be fine. One of the conference rooms at work had been infested with them. The managers wisely selected a different room for meetings for about a month. The exterminators were in on the day they were first seen. Speaking of bugs, today, I am finishing up debugging the tropicals that spend summer outside in prep for bringing them in for winter. We are supposed to get into the thirties Friday and Saturday evening. I used to always use a systemic, but this year I am trying something that I saw on Facebook. I am submerging the pots and as much foliage as possible in soapy water for half an hour. I am wiping all parts that cannot be submerged with the same soapy water, then rinsing when I pull them out. In theory, this is a great idea, but I have been using more and more lightweight foam pots to save my back. Foam pots float :-) I've been settling for allowing them to float sort of sideways and rotating the pot so all areas are submerged at some point for 30 minutes. We'll see if this helps with fungus gnats. I only have the 4 biggest left to do today, I got 8 smaller pots yesterday.

I had egg salad for my breakfast too. j Just a half sandwich. I was in a rush to get out the door to go ride. Passed the 90 mile mark in the virtual race today today! 10 more left. So proud of my school horse. We're sad it's coming to an end.

Hard to order anything bulky that doesn’t get abused and arrive with some damage. Can you live with it? If not, I hope you didn’t destroy the packaging even more because you will be required to repackage it and send it back in most cases. Maybe you can get a slight discount for the damage? The problem with ordering anything is if you need to return it.

Good morning, it is sunny and hot--finally--in North Carolina. There won't be much going on here this weekend--just the usual--cooking, cleaning and laundry. I think we are going to powerwash the deck and get it restained tomorrow if it doesn't start raining again. We have had rain for something like the last 9 weekends. It is a welcome change from the drought. Have a great weekend everyone. Sheila

We're under tornado warnings. I went to do my volunteer work at GD#3's class and ended up in the hall with them while they "ducked and covered." The teacher handled it so well nobody was scared. It's still thundering and spitting rain here but the storm has moved east. They had some injuries at Canton Trades Day about 40 miles NW of here.

Kath, what group were you in for the stimulus check?
We are in the second group for the 11th of May but that was before the move up dates. So now I am confused! LOL

But anyway, we don't have a check yet! bah humbug.

Today, I am finishing up last minute details for classes. I have an award banquet tonight for honor society and some other award things.
Next week is finals, then I graduate May 10th.

Hi Kathleen and KT,

It is sunny and 79 here in Maryland. We are to get some showers tomorrow and
AM rain on Sunday. Makayla and Kaden are here until sometime Monday. Our
plans are not much until Sunday, there is a festival not far from here and hopefully
we will be able to go. I hope all have a great and safe weekend.

Hi Kath. I just got home from getting my blood work done and doing some shopping.

My check was deposited this morning too. Nan, I was in the first group, so guess the 2nd group will come out next week.

Vannie, I just heard about all the bad weather in your area. I hope everyone is okay!!! The weather here is sunny and very warm. Should make our garden grow even more!
