Flooring for laundry room/mudroom
Comments (5)I put an epoxy in my garage and love it but not sure I woukd want it in my midroom. I have had vinyl tile but did not like them at all. Why not regular tile. I just put this tile in my midroom and love it. Not expensive. Just from Lowes....See MoreTrying to design bath/laundry/mudroom combo
Comments (0)I have a 1950's style house on a crawl and we are trying to update the back bathroom and combine a mudroom laundry with it. I am flexible on if there will be a shower especially since I am tied to having two doors into the space. One from the garage on the south wall and one from the back yard on the north wall. The entire area is 11'3" w to e x 11' 1/2" n to s interior measurements. The doors are directly opposite each other on the right hand side of the area. I have 2 existing windows I am not sure I am moving they are both high widows and wouldn't interfere with anything but the shower. One is 3' w and is 15 1/2" from the south corner on the west wall. The other is 4'4" w and 25" from the west corner on north wall. My main need for the mud room is coat storage and for a dog crate for a 50lb dog. Any ideas would be much appreciated!!...See MoreTrying to design bath/laundry/mudroom combo
Comments (2)A scale drawing would be helpful. Include all the features like Windows, doors, plumbing. This can be a hand drawing on graph paper. Take a picture of it and post it....See MoreLaundry Room, Entry Room Combo Dilemma
Comments (8)Taking into consideration all the comments and your pictures I might try the following. Put a ceiling to floor pantry cabinet in the spot where the current white base cabinet is, taking out the upper above. More consolidated pantry. I'd stack the w/d on the right of the window wall. Put a bench with a back under the window and run the hoses behind the bench back. To the right of the w/d you could even hang a drop leaf table, that could be lifted into place for folding. Or put the pantry in like I mentioned. Take all uppers down and put in a mudroom hutch/seat built-in, utilizing an opening for the heater below and room for shoes, and having storage above. On the wall with the water valve run a cabinet in an L shape with hanging rod incorporated into an upper set of cabinets if there is room. Still stack the set. The laundry could go into cubbies under the base cabinet open shelving along the water valve wall....See Morepalimpsest
