My granddaughter's prom pictures (3)

I just posted one of these in the daily photo thread, but here's a couple of others.

Lizzie is a junior this year. Here she is with her friends on the way to the prom. Liz is the blonde in white. (I received these as rather small files and didn't attempt to get rid of the red eyes . . . that guy on the right looks scary!)

And with her best friend and her mom's SO (in the middle).

And with her mom, my daughter. Hmmm . . . Liz looks a little tan. I hope it's makeup.

juanita, you did a beautiful collage in Ariana Faye's memory. It is really lovely. I hope it helped you a little in getting thru the first steps of the grieving process. I loved looking at it, it really is beautiful. I'm so sorry for your loss and for her Mom and Dad. The black and white photo of Darius is great. He has such nice eyes and the B&W makes them look huge and bottomless. A very handsome lad. Destined, I'm sure, to break some feminine hearts in a few years.

Awww, thanks everyone...making me cry here. I know a few of you folks realize how young Brianna was when I first got on the internet and came to the KT. And you're so right Lonestarlady/Lynda, time goes by way too quickly! I remember when you didn't have any grandchildren and now look!! Haven't seen my son or the grands in about 3 yrs. and have never been to Atlanta where they now live. So looking forward to this trip.

Absolutely loved it! Years ago in the last neighborhood we lived, I got so angry that not one halloweener that came to the door said Happy Halloween or thank you, I made sure we had plans for halloween (dinner and movies) every year thereafter.

(2) I've seen your picture, and you are NOT old enough to have a granddaughter that age...unless you were pregnant at six years old...

How pretty! Now Alisande, if you were white you have to have a little bit of a tan are you fade out. She looks lovely with the tan. Consider it Vitamin D.

Good looking kids, and pretty daughter and granddaughter. I love the nosegay she is carrying; it won't ruin her dress and pins won't poke her all night. Smart floral selection, and so pretty too.

Oh Susan - what a beautiful granddaughter you have. She looks so lovely in her prom photos. Do you know what those flowers were in her nosegay? I don't recognize them but they're really pretty. You must have been beaming when you saw how nice she looked. I hope they all had a great time.

Suzanne was only 17 when she had Liz, so they are both young! She divorced Liz's father less than two years later, and I'm very proud of all she's accomplished since then.

Except for blonde hair (well, mine used to be all blonde) I don't think I resemble either of them, unfortunately. I'm bigger all over, for one thing. And Suzanne inherited my mother-in-law's perfect nose (because I prayed for that when I was pregnant!). Sometimes, though, I catch a glimpse of my mother's family in Liz's face.
