My granddaughter's prom pictures (3)

I just posted one of these in the daily photo thread, but here's a couple of others.

Lizzie is a junior this year. Here she is with her friends on the way to the prom. Liz is the blonde in white. (I received these as rather small files and didn't attempt to get rid of the red eyes . . . that guy on the right looks scary!)

And with her best friend and her mom's SO (in the middle).

And with her mom, my daughter. Hmmm . . . Liz looks a little tan. I hope it's makeup.

Thank you all for you comments about how gorgeous Shaylah is. She gets great grades in school and plans on going onto college. Leslie, funny you should mention Riverdance. She competes in Irish Stepdancing and is a beautiful dancer. Shannon says she has a heck of a time buying jeans because her legs are so muscular.

I went to 3 proms, all with DH, haha. First dress was a dress my mom made for me for the Christmas chorus concert. It was white shimmery material with gold trim on the neck. 2nd prom was a light blue dress with a cape type thing. It was my bridesmaids dress for my older sisters wedding that our neighbor lady made for all the bridesmaids. 3rd prom was a 2-pc silky orange print with solid light blue striped long skirt, top was a wrap around tie top in the same orange material. Good Lord, too funny, I thought it was just fabulous!! I'll try to find pics to post, I know I have them somewhere. Fun memories, thanks for the thread Alisande.

(2) I've seen your picture, and you are NOT old enough to have a granddaughter that age...unless you were pregnant at six years old...

How pretty! Now Alisande, if you were white you have to have a little bit of a tan are you fade out. She looks lovely with the tan. Consider it Vitamin D.

Good looking kids, and pretty daughter and granddaughter. I love the nosegay she is carrying; it won't ruin her dress and pins won't poke her all night. Smart floral selection, and so pretty too.

Oh Susan - what a beautiful granddaughter you have. She looks so lovely in her prom photos. Do you know what those flowers were in her nosegay? I don't recognize them but they're really pretty. You must have been beaming when you saw how nice she looked. I hope they all had a great time.

Suzanne was only 17 when she had Liz, so they are both young! She divorced Liz's father less than two years later, and I'm very proud of all she's accomplished since then.

Except for blonde hair (well, mine used to be all blonde) I don't think I resemble either of them, unfortunately. I'm bigger all over, for one thing. And Suzanne inherited my mother-in-law's perfect nose (because I prayed for that when I was pregnant!). Sometimes, though, I catch a glimpse of my mother's family in Liz's face.
