I thought that was what was going to happen too. Danny has never been in the bottom 3, so I didn't think he'd be going home.

I was disappointed to see Alison go.

I didn't like it..thought Chris would be going next.

I was not expecting Alison to go home, was expecting it to be her and Adam in the finale - especially since neither Kris nor especially Danny did very well with the Rock songs.
But C'est Le Vie - Paula's song was interesting - I wonder why she always techno's up her voice like that when she performs.

Awful choice. I'm sorry but I think some voters are voting for Danny because they feel sorry for him. There I said it. His wife died and they feel bad for him, it's the only explanation I can find after hearing him sing all these weeks.

The blind guy, who I can't remember his name (Scott?) made it a point not to let anyone know he is a kidney transplant recipient because he didn't want any sympathy votes.

Allison and Adam should have been the top 2 if people voted on talent alone. Chris is better than Danny, so I had no problem with him going on at this point.

I was very shocked that Allison was the one to go last night. She didn't deserved to go. I thought Kris would be the one. Then when he was the first one to be save, I guessed Danny was going by-by. He just didn't have the voice to be singing the song he chose. Kris isn't a rocker either. Adam and Allison both did such a great job with their single songs and their duet. Totally blindsided by Allison going home. When they showed Simon's face towards the end of the show he looked soooo pissed off. He was probably as shocked as I was! NancyLouise

I am a huge Gokey fan and will be the first to admit that he had a rough night on Tuesday. He was completely out of his element while singing that type of music. But...he tried his very best and last night admitted, after watching the tape, that he had trouble with that last note. He even said his aunt muted the tv to avoid that note. I have also been an Adam fan this season but was a little disappointed when he took a great Johnny Cash song, Ring of Fire, and ruined it. That week was country week and although Adam is not a country singer or a fan of country music, he should have attempted to sing country that week. Only my opinion, but I can't see bashing Danny and Chris for not being rock singers when, apparently, Adam doesn't do country.

To each his/her own. I always DVR the performance show and watch a few of the performances over and over before I can bring myself to delete the shows. As odd/strange as it was, Adam's "Ring of Fire" is the only one I can't let go of. To me, it was weird AND wonderful at the same time. It didn't disappoint me that he didn't perform it "traditionally". He took it and made it his own, and IMO, it worked.

Sure, Danny and Chris had a hard time with rock. It isn't their kind of music. But each of the other contestants have had "off" nights before for the very same reason, Allison included.

I felt sad for Danny when I heard that his wife had died. But it never had any bearing on what I thought about his singing. I'm intelligent enough to be honest with myself. I just love the joy that is so obvious when he sings.

At this point, they will all probably get recording contracts. We won't see Danny or Chris putting any rock tracks on their albums, and Allison will probably have ONLY rock tracks on hers. Adam - well I think we may see, as we already have, that Adam may have a little bit of everything on his!

I thought Chris would go. He is just forgetable to me. I mean he has a good voice but I just never remember him. I love Danny. I am sympathetic for the fact that his wife died but it has definitely not influenced my way of thinking. I have liked him from the beginning. Rock isn't his thing so what. So he won't be making a rock album. I will be very surprised if it is not him and Danny in the end.

I am a huge Adam fan, and agree with donna about Ring of Fire. He has consistently taken a genre song and made it his own, even if outside the genre. The others have generally tried to put their stamp on a song, but stayed within the given genre. I don't know which is the better course, but I have enjoyed Adam's creativity and performances more than anyone else's, to the point of downloading several mp3s. Evidently 6 of the 10 most downloaded songs from AI this season are Adam's. People have noted his sometimes over the top theatricality, but hey, don't you remember the 70s and 80s? Rock bands back then made their bread and butter on hugely theatrical performances.

I too thought Kris would be going home since he is so forgettable. Danny is highly overrated but has a loyal fan base that gets him in the top every week. Last week, Adam's fan base was soooo p*ssed about the results that they voted in overdrive Tuesday night (I did my part) -- didn't hurt that he had a great performance. I was so surprised to see Allison go, but she'll be okay, maybe even better in the long run since she won't be shackled by AI contracts.

IMHO, Danny's got a good future, most likely in Christian-oriented popular music, but I don't think he'll make it big time in the general music industry.

I was PO'd that Allison was voted off. She is so much better than the Chris and Danny.

I'll watch the last few minutes of the finale but for me there is no need to watch anymore of it....my favorite is gone.

I was so upset to see Allison go. What a huge loss for AI to not have her and Adam in the finale together. That would have been a GREAT show.

I enjoy Kris, he's a cutie and has a nice Jason Mraz style. To me Danny is completely forgettable and I had hoped sealed his fate with his Aerosmith attempt.

It will most likely be Adam and Danny (the glam rocker vs the christian rocker) going head to head. That was probably intentionally orchestrated by AI so they could play the story up in advertising. As I am highly suspicious of the voting process and think texting in your "votes" is a great way to generate money.

GO ADAM!!! And go get em Allison!!!!
