Using 2 fabric on a slipper chair

I have a pair of slipper chairs that needed to be reupholstered. The upholsterer suggested to have the frame done in one kind of fabric (say burlap or linen) and the cushion done in a softer fabric (ticking linen, printed linen, etc). This way I can use a sturdier fabric for the frame, and a softer fabric for the cushion. Also, later, if the cushions got dirty or torn, I can have the cushions redone in any coordinating fabric w/o having to pay extra to have the frame completely redone (more $$).

But, do you think it would work visually or do you think I'm better off having frame & cushions in same fabric?

Here's the chair (I have a pair).
