Put on market before ready to move out?

We bought an older house (1964/tri-level) 10 mos ago to live in while we're building a new home. We're in a small rural town in Southern Colorado. Our new home will be finished sometime in May, we think. In the meantime we have all of our stuff "warehoused" in this house waiting to move. It's livable, but crowded. Do you think it would be a good idea to put it on the market in April? I won't be able to stage it much. Or better to wait until we're moved out and I can stage it? Houses don't move real fast around here. Our thinking is that we may as well have it on the market just in case somebody's looking, vs keeping it off an extra month.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.
