Here's a couple of things that I've accomplished lately:

Pocketbook for my DGD's 16th birthday next month.

Inside flap with the label.

Market bag from Fon's and Porter magazine.

Crib quilt top for DGD's baby due in fall.

Tote bag for DD September birthday.

Punk is one of my "buddies" over on the Painting forum, but we all agree that her forum name should be "Speedy". This girl can whip out three projects while I'm just getting started on my first one! LOL She's already told us that she has quite a few dishes, so we need to encourage her to set a pretty table and share them with us--if she ever has a spare minute--she's a really busy gal too. Punk, love it that you are sharing your creations with all of us. Isn't it fun to have friends to share with when you are all excited about finishing a project? My DH always gives me compliments on finished projects, but it's nice to have others see them too. ;o) Luvs

My mom would often make knitted or crocheted afghans for relatives. I never particularly liked them, so whenever she asked if she could make me one, I declined. After she died, we found about six that she had made, but never gifted. We gave them all to charity, except the one that was her favorite that she always used for herself. I took that one, because everyone else already had one that she had made for them. I now realize how selfish I was to decline her offer, and I'm so happy that I have one. I feel sad that I probably offended her. I started quilting several years after her death, so she never got to decline my offer of a quilt, not that she would have. Oh, well, live and learn.

I used to call one of my grandmothers memere. It's not very often you seen/hear that. She was French Canadian.

Yeah to the Memere - my maternal GGM was called Memere!

All the projects are so well done, but I love the baby quilt with the great color choice! I'm fond of Lover's Knot and have made serveral.

Beautiful projects!!!

I had a Grandmother that only spoke french and we all called her "memere'. Its french and it means "my mother"

Everything is great. I especially like the baby quilt. I have to keep the pattern in mind for future use. The tote you made DD in Sept. Is wonderful. Where did you find the pattern. I like the zipper pocket and what looks like criss cross pockets. TFS Jayne

Jayne -- the pattern is from www.marlousdesigns.com and it's called Amanda's bag and Lola I did a stitch in the ditch and now I'm doing some FM in the light squares with heart design (or trying very hard to do it).
