I study linguistics and I didn't even know about Scirus. But thanks for letting me know. I'm testing it out now. But I do agree Google scholar is fantastic. One of the things it does, that Scirus doesn't seem to be doing for me as I look at it, is give me the article as the top hit when I type in a citation. I typed in the same citation in Scirus and just get links to relevant web pages. My whole dept. loves Google Scholar!

There is a funny UK show, cannot remember the name. But it is like The Office only they are the tech support people and work in the basement. Every single time they answer the phone, they listen, say uh huh uh huh. And then they say - have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again. It is like a running gag.

I had tons of photos that Google appropriated over the years until Houzz cracked down. I mean dozens and dozens of photos. I would click on Google images and start scrolling, and there they were. Nothing is safe on the internet. The companies I designed for gave up enforcing copyright infringement, even though they lost profit from the theft. My stuff is for sale all over the secondary market on the internet and has been for years. My response to photo usage by Google was a shrug. They took the photos from Garden Web and later Houzz. I lost control of the photos by posting them on these two websites. Diane
