Water World Fiberglass pool pics

Here's our new pool. Not the greatest of pics but it's all could get from the ground. It's an 18x44.5 8'deep which I think is the biggest you can get in fiberglass.

Congrats! What are your plans around the pool? Can you compare fiberglass feel .vs other types? I can only come up with that it feels so "soft" smooth. Enjoy!

Hi Dawn, I got my fiberglass pool last summer (installed right after Memorial Day). I also got quotes from Artistic but was turned off by them and some of their reviews. I ended up going with Swimmingpoolnow.com. The owner is John Buchler. The pool I got was from Leisure Pools. I was satisfied with the sales process, pricing and installation overall. My only criticism is that John seemed overwhelmed and could really use someone at an office to help manage the projects. For sales I didn't feel pressured into anything. John did a good job and brought samples of the various gel coatings we could pick from, rather than base our decision on swatches in a brochure. Pricing was good too. For installation we scheduled a time but it got pushed back because of weather one or two times. John did the excavation and they lifted the pool with the excavator (with straps of course) into place. They used a laser and lifted the pool in and out probably 5 times to ensure they got it perfect (was happy to see that!). On the plumbing I required rigid PVC rather than flex PVC as I read that termites can eat flex PVC. John brought the pipes but didn't bring enough fittings, so rather than hold up the job I said it was ok to use flex PVC in a few spots. With regard to equipment I opted for a variable speed pump, a pleated filter, a heat pump pool heater and a robotic vacuum. John brought all the wrong equipment (except the heater) on the day of installation. Once brought to his attention he made sure the truck brought the right stuff the next day. I didn't feel he was trying to scam me, but it was frustrating nonetheless. Again, he needs someone at an office to manage that sort of thing. After everything got sorted out we were up and running and I have no complaints. I would certainly recommend John/Swimmingpoolnow, but would also suggest that you check on these details and be there on the day of installation. Good luck!

First ...sorry for the long response but I think you will find it informative. We just signed with Waterworld Pools in Hammonton NJ. We first contacted them the end of March and since then I have done extensive research on this site and many other comparing prices and etc. I called every single reference and asked for more. Waterworld has done everything so far that I could have asked. They do not pressure sale you and are invited to come see how they make their pools at the factory. You can now get white or 2 shades of blue and then the "corian" looking colors. We are getting a 14x32x6 freeform, installed by them. Hayward pumps, tile border, SWG, and Heat pump, concrete decking, solar cover and electrical done by their subs for $24500. The Heat pump I got myself (Heat Siphon)so that was in addition to the 23500 but they are hooking it up in that price. The only other charges we have are the permit costs and had to have trees removed. I havent been able to find any information they have told me that wasn't true. I even did investigative work into the alleged name changes and that was a "dealer" who used there name without permission to sell their pools. That "dealer" is the one who changed the name once he was caught. You get to speak with the owner who makes all the final decisions. We compared vinyl also and felt the most comfortable with waterworld and their overall truthfullness and willingness to answer all my questions of which their were many. We hope to have the pool installed next week or the one after...just waiting for the final permit to be issued. I live near Toms River and am very excited about our new fiberglass pool. We ended up choosing white because we first like the white..they have a display and second want to leave the coping showing...no concrete cantilever. When you sit in the built in seats or climb out the pool it will be smooth with no rough edges. We battled this decision and feel for us we made the right decision. The color is up to you. As for Viking and other makers we chose waterworld because they do their own installs. So many issues we have seen result is the pool manu. pointing fingers at the dealer/installer and vice versa. Waterworld handles everything...they cant blame your installer and say it was the installers fault. We know there are issues with Viking honoring warranties due to dealer errors...just be cautious..search online you will see for yourself. In NJ they will deliver, install and setup your pool including all pumps and motors for $3000. Your pool is tested before they leave. The next day the electrician comes and hooks up everything electrical. If you do decide on whatever pool give waterworld a call and see what you think for yourself. This will be my first pool. Twittke, Tell them about my postings if you will...want them to know I love my pool. I did put an extra return in the deeper part of the pool to help mix the heated water and help circulate the heat so it wasnt just on the top of the water. I upgraded to the Hayward filter and pump and have the 244T Sand Filter and 3/4hp pump based on Haywards recommendations. We didnt want the corian look and much pricier also. We got the standard light as we are early birds and dont swim much in the evening. We like the slope..it is very gradual unlike a traditional vinyl liner pool. We did the 6' but its more like 5' 9". Its plenty for me to even jump into and do shallow dives and I am 6'3". As for a time table they can install within a week or so...probably take you longer to set up time for permits and excavation. We have two bottom drains. One at each end of the pool and they are on the bottom but on the sides so you never step on them. Any other questions just ask...make sure you look at my other posts as I am sure I expanded on some of these and other things. I try to check in daily so I will check back soon. Dont think I would change anything except maybe the 16 x 32 instead of the 14 x 32 but we have a smaller yard and didnt want to dominate too much of it so I think we made the right decision for us. Have had pool since May 10 and no issues with algae or anything. I credit that to the pool being fiberglass, a Taylor water test kit and daily cleaning with the Polaris 360 (pressure side cleaner). Hello Abbysmom, Before we got our pool I took exactly a year to research everything that I could about the different types of pools and pool companies. We finally decided on getting a fiberglass pool. I read many horror stories on this and other forums about botched pool installations by bad companies and their subs. I was determined not to have this happen. I began researching FG pool companies. I asked around the various forums for recommendations and water world was one of several that was repeatedly mentioned. Aside from the recommendations I liked the fact that WWP manufactured their own pools. I especially liked the fact that they would use their own employees and NOT subcontractors to install our pool so from the manufacturing to the final installation I would be dealing with one company. HUGE PLUS! Finally I check them out with the BBB and NJ's attorney general's office. They checked out fine so it was a go. Water World was not big on hand holding so there wasn't any warm and fuzzies but they were efficient and professional. They made sure that I had all the necessary documents for our local building permit department. The only disappointment that I have is that I wanted a larger pool. Initially I staked out an area for the 12x28. I didn't know what I was in for at the permit department. In short, easements, house and property line setbacks as well as mechanicals location requirements for our subdivision plus a couple of trees pushed us into a small corner of our backyard. We were just barely able to fit the 9x17 in by inches and I mean inches. So, aside from the size, my wife and I are very happy with the pool. This is our third season and we love it. If we move we would definitely have water world install another (larger LOL) pool with out hesitation. If I get a chance I will try to get some pics up over the weekend. Nice! Like I said, that is one BIG fiberglass pool! Great yard too by the way....What are you going to do for fencing? We used Delgard aluminum and I am VERY happy with it...This is my first full season with a fiberglass pool, and I spent LESS than $150 in chemicals this season. Good luck! We have to wait at least 2 weeks for the concrete. Everything has to settle first.
We plan on doing 5 feet of standard concrete around the whole pool area with two 10-12 feet areas for furniture/sunning. My husband will add pavers in the spring if that's not enough concrete. We'd like to have a stamped edge around the pool, that depends on the price we get today.
Still working on the fence. Our HOA rules say wood post and rail. We have asked for a waiver on that. We'd like a vertical pool fence.
Will also put a 14x20 shed in the area as you walk in to the right.
Hopefully we can get moving on the decking and fence. We need to have lots of dirt spread in the back yard, and get grass seed planted in September. Lots of work !

We did the concrete as well, but added a color to it for only $350, that kind of toned down that bright white look for a small price...makes it a light tan color when dry, darker when wet....I caught your other thread on the fence, if you have any questions on that let me know, I did a lot of research on that boca fence thing

We're getting the colored concrete also. With our wooded back yard we thought the white concrete would be too bright.

Jim - Your pool looks great! Love the colored concrete. Could you tell me how much you used around the pool? What kind of pool do you have? Love the stone.

Your tan concrete is beautiful! What are the pros and cons of concrete vs. bricks or stones?

Thanks! We have I think around 600 sq feet of concrete, the largest area comes out about ten feet from the pool. Its kinda freeform, following the pools curves, plus the tan color blends the concrete to the waterfall. The pool is a Viking rockport. We also had him pour our cement pad for the shed at the same time, since it was so cheap, like $4.90 a sq ft. Poolwebber as to the pro's and con's of concrete our main issue was concrete was CHEAPER. Its con is cracking, and we did have one major crack that actually transversed the control joint over last winter that the builder had to rip out and re-pour. Brick pavers would have been our first choice if cost was no option, esp since if you have a piping problem you can just pull the brick up and drop it back in when your finished. It all comes down to personal preference, what you think looks good, and how much $$ you have in your wallet!

How in the world will you keep that pool clean until you finish your deck?

What color is that concrete? We have a guy coming over to show us a bunch Friday. Just wondering if we can match it up with something. We want a little darker of that color. He says they usually come out lighter. Was that the case with your's?

We are in PA. I don't have all the #'s with me right now, but I will get the paperwork out and post it for you tonight.

Great pool and pics! Please post what you paid for the pool if you can. We are thinking about getting a fiberglass pool this season and are looking to get an idea of what it might cost. Who did you use for the installation? We are in PA as well.

I looked at the white fiberglass pool on this page, it's beautiful. We just had one installed, they finished yesterday and today hooking up the filter, of course it's not as big as the beautiful one I saw on this site, but our yard isn't that big to hold a big pool. My question is how the heck does the water turn blue in a white fiberglass pool???? I'm so upset that it's going to look like a white bathtub with clear water in it. Right now the water is green until the get the filter hooked up, any answers for me, thanks
