How Is Your Weather Today?

I think ours is going to be hot and a chance of isolated showers. Right now it is 67 and working its way to the upper 80's or low 90's. Everything is so nice and green and growing.

A couple of degrees above freezing, they have a lot more snow in London than we have, about 15 mi. southwest. They're talking quite a bit of rain ... but it started to snow a couple of hours ago. That 25 - 50 cm. of snow that someone spoke of, translates into 10 - 20 inches for folks not on metric. I almost got stuck driving out the lane the other day, and was planning to take a heavy run at the bank thrown up by the plough on my return ... ... but the landlord had come and ploughed it all out of the way, so I could drive in the lane, rejoicing. He's really helpful at keeping the snow out of the way. I did get stuck while making a turn in a driveway in the city, a week or so ago, borrowed a shovel to dig myself out ... had told myself some time ago that I should carry a shovel in the car: evidently it was one of those days in which I don't hear (myself) too well. Anyway ... the next day, while leaving my place, I got stuck in the bank kicked up by the county plough at the end of the lane ... and laughed at myself for having neglected to put the said shovel into the car that morning, as I walked back to the shed to get it. It's there now ... and I was glad, this afternoon, as I got stuck again in what appeared to be a small layer of snow at the end of someone's driveway in the city when I was turning to take a friend where he wanted to go. Did a bit of shovelling, tried it again, little movement, so he, a very large guy, got out and pushed ... which got me out. ole jolyful

North of Chicago: We've had four glorious days of Goldilocks' *just right* warm weather with clear skies and low humidity, but today the humidity is starting to creep up. We're to have near 90F this weekend. No rain until possibly Monday night. (We need rain again.) Nice weather, but...my sinuses have been just *awful* so I can't really enjoy being outdoors. Curious to see if this abates when we have to have the A/C on this weekend.

It's 86 here in Tyler w/o a cloud in the sky. I sat out on the deck b/c it was so pleasant after all the 100+ days we've had. I have some wind chimes I love to listen to. I've been to work out, and am trying to put this house back in order after being out of commission for a while w/ illness and a hospital stay. Would like to have a maid come clean this place up, but I'm afraid when I opened the door for her, she would run screaming out of the house. LOL So, I'll have to gradually do it myself, and by the time I get to the last room, the first room will need it again. You just can't win!! LOL

Right now it's beautiful and I have the doors and windows opened, but before long it'll start getting hot so I'll have to close it up when the air kicks on. But I sure am enjoying it now!!

Sunny and 70º, with a light breeze. Yesterday was horrendous.....DD in Minneapolis area said that her car said outside temp was 98º at 4:00 when she got home. Made her want to stay in the car! We had 89º, and it was extremely humid, so today feels so pleasant.

It was 93 here yesterday, and 90's in the U.P. are rare, usually restricted to one or two days in August. It's supposed to be only 86 today, then cooler the rest of the week. Of course... it wasn't supposed to hit 90 yesterday either :-)

Wisconsin checking in:

We're having a run of summer weather. It cools to 70 at night and gets near 90 in the day. Is cooling a bit. the expected high will in the high 80s for the next 2 days. A bit on the muggy side, but very a pleasnt break from what we could have. have been running the whole house air conditioner for the past 2 days - our adult son is living with us on a temporary basis until he recovers financially. He has found work and needs good sleeping conditions during daylight hours. He's working at a bakery and has odd hours at night and partly daytime. Got to go cut grass - its growing!
