Cold and raining. We are grateful for the rain as California has been in severe drought the past few years. Supposed to get 5 - 6 inches of rain over the next seven days so that should really help! What we desperately need is heavy snow in the mountains because that is our water supply for the following summer, especially for the folks down south.

At the moment we're sitting in sun room, sipping hot cider and watching it snow. Perfect evening. It was 73 here yesterday.

Thanks for thinking of us down here, Dawn! We are supposed to get a storm Sunday evening, but we have been disappointed so many times that I'm trying not to get excited! It's so dry here that unless we get hours of rain, it's just not enough to penetrate the dry soil very far. Fingers crossed....

socks, it been just terrible the last few years. We have lost so many firs and pines to the bark beetles that it's just sad to even look outside these days. So far, it is shaping up to be a wet winter up here in the north. Hope you get your storm on Sunday - every little bit helps!

North of Chicago. We, too, have Climate Change. It's been another long, overly warm autumn until this morning. We had spitting snow at dawn. It's supposed to hit 27F tonight. (Will my 40-year-old electric blanket make it through another winter?)

It is cool and sunny, but we have had a very warm fall. I need to wash the windows before Thanksgiving. The rain spotted them 3 weeks ago. So I am expecting more rain in southern California as soon as my windows are clean.

Here in my part of Ohio, it's in mid 30s. Our high was 50 last night, keeps dropping all day. Alternated between rain showers, snow showers, and beautiful sunshine. Like so many places, we were in the 70s on Friday.

I started out with a warm mild day. I walked about a block or two to a friend's house and when I left to head home it was sooo cold and windy! I couldn't wait to get in the house. Brr

75 in the morning here in PA, currently 37 with sleet. We are so dry, my flower pots which I emptied were just dust. We haven't had rain for months.

It was cooler here in Georgia today then yesterday by maybe 20 degrees. Yesterday it was 81, we have had a warm fall and no rain.

Here in western Pa its currently 35 with a wind chill of 26..spitting sleet& rain. Yesterday it was in the upper 70's..I hate this weather today and my RA hates it.

here in SD it was in the teens this morning. I went to Pierre and I never wore a heavy enough coat and I was cold all day. We still have a little bit of snow on the ground from Thursday. I think it got up to 32 today though.

I'm in the southern part of Illinois and it was rainy and windy yesterday, turning cold in the evening. Low 40's and windy today.

Here in Southern Oregon it was sunny and windy....not very warm and now as the sun heads down, the chill is in the air. The wind gusts were trying extra hard to take the remaining leaves down, so, too soon the winter landscape will be here.

We had 13 inches of snow and I'm finally plowed out, but it is very slippery, so I'm staying in.

Beautiful 60 degrees and balmy for November.

Here in Colorado it was 49 today. There are still traces of snow on the ground and ice that aren't melting from Thursday's little storm.

I'm not fond of cold, but I like the first day when we get a pile up of snow and school is cancelled. The grands and I always make cookies that day and we sip at hot chocolate after comming in from snowball fights. LOL

Southern Colorado....a few days ago we hit 80, the next day it snowed...unbelievable weather....

Wind rain and chill. I stayed in all day. Not my kind of weather.

Saturday, the high at General Mitchell Field was 68 F. Temperature fell that night to near freezing and we had our first snow. By Sunday morning, about 1/4 inch of snow had accumulated on auto windshields. Most of it soon melted and the ground was not frozen, but the wind howled all day driving wind chill to winter time feeling.

Our weather is just plain weird. 73 and gorgeous yesterday, windy, snowy and 29 today. Go figure! We're right behind you in Michigan jemdandy, it was our first snow too.

Cold and breezy this morning, hovering around freezing. Yesterday was cold and rainy, but no snow. Friday was beautiful--I washed a few windows, but didn't get to all of them. I might just have to wait until spring to finish the others. ;)

Yesterday morning warm and sunny in the 70's. This morning cloudy, windy and in the 30's.

Yesterday 70; 46 now. Sunny but blustery. DH and I decided to go the architectural salvage place instead of walking along the tow path in Great Falls, MD. The salvage warehouse will be cold but more comfortable than being in the wind.

Yesterday (Sat) was beautiful here, deep in the heart of Texas. Not sure what the high was, probably somewhere in the upper 60's. Sunny, light breeze. So I washed the sheets, hung them on the line to dry and put them back on the bed last night. Heavenly! How I love the way they smell after drying in the sun on a beautiful day! I use the dryer for them all summer, hanging out in the 90 plus degree weather just doesn't produce the same results, just a dry dusty smell.

Today seems to be more of the same, it's 70 out right now. Last night was in the high 40's, coldest we've had since last February. What a treat these few days have been after all the long days of unseasonably high temperatures we've had so far this fall!
