How Was Your Weather Today?

It started off dry and sunny and has ended up with some thunder and rain, nothing bad though. How was your day? We had a good cookout at Cheryl and Kevin's and brought us back each a plate of food for our supper. It was a very nice day even though some storms have moved in.

Well, you know, it's Memorial Day. In Chicagoland that means hot, humid, with a real downpour five minutes before the town's parade steps off. LOL

We did need rain. It would have been more welcome if it didn'd come between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Cool now, but humid. Setttling in for hamburgers, corn, potato salad (not homemade). I miss having a way to display the big 48-star flag from my grandfather's funeral. (Spanish American War)

It was nice here today, lots of sun, high in the upper 70s. I didn't need my A/C. We had rain and thunder last night and will have it again tomorrow night. As long as we don't have lightening while I am at the pool, I will be a very happy camper.

We're getting another winter storm here on the coast of NC. Getting ice, but no snow this close to the coast. Some of the counties just inland from us are getting several inches. It was starting to ice around lunchtime. I told my supervisor around 2pm that I was going home so I could get across the bridges before they iced. Good thing, because several accidents were later reported on the big bridge I use. I was planning to print something out to work on at home, but as I started back to my office the power went out. My office is delayed until 12pm tomorrow, but if things continue as they are I'll be surprised if we open.

Last week we were supposed to get a lot of snow (at least 8 inches). We got 4-5". Today we were supposed to get a "dusting". It has been snowing for hours now. I measured it and 30 min. ago and it was 2 1/2" and is supposed to snow heavier later in the day. I have been listening to my police scanner on my Kindle Fire and there are property damage accidents all over town because the roads are slick. Cars in ditches, etc. I only have to drive 3 blocks to get to my volunteer job at the hospital.

We have had snow off and on today. Right now I think we have about 2" accumulated. We are supposed to get 4-6. We also had rain today. I went grocery shopping today so no need to go out tomorrow. Most snow I have seen since last winter which is OK with me. It is kind of fun to see everything white for a change.

Wisconsin checking in: We're having a run of summer weather. It cools to 70 at night and gets near 90 in the day. Is cooling a bit. the expected high will in the high 80s for the next 2 days. A bit on the muggy side, but very a pleasnt break from what we could have. have been running the whole house air conditioner for the past 2 days - our adult son is living with us on a temporary basis until he recovers financially. He has found work and needs good sleeping conditions during daylight hours. He's working at a bakery and has odd hours at night and partly daytime. Got to go cut grass - its growing!

Absolutely gorgeous here in eastern upstate NY. Felt like October in the AM, then warmed up to mid-80s but no humidity. Wonderful day!!!

it was very quiet, as dh went golfing. went over to target for pills, found tee-shir sheets on sale for $15 (included king) so bought a set..i like them better than cotton as they don't crumple...got home and leftovers from last night's kfc...

kept checking the radar and soon no more sun and it got very dark..in fact the neighbor's outside light came on...called dh to make sure they were off the course and waited...and waited some more...got about 5 drops! it was crazy...it sure could have been a LOT worse. now we're having nice garden type rain...

was going to go out again, but started watching a movie...pulled out precooked chops, and nuked 2 different veggie sides...i LOVE having a stocked freezer!

It was hot for the parade. I went to watch Damien, as he was in it with his T-ball team. When I got up at 8:30, it was already 80. We've had storms all evening, one after another, but nothing serious. I've been lazy all day. I played solitare all afternoon, then made stir fry for dinner.

Very nice and sunny, not windy or sprinkly like it had been last week. Good day to enjoy a BBQ party with my parents.

After a week of cloudy cool temps we finally saw the sun come out yesterday afternoon. This morning the day started with the bright sun shining in our window. The forecast is for warmer temps. Everything will really grow now as we really needed the rain before.
