Brad, Thanks for the lemonade recipe and tips. DGS and I have found 3 meyer lemon trees in the woods where we hike. He always wants to make lemonade when we get home so I need a Grammy worthy recipe. At Peppi's urging, I documented my grandmother's recipe for spaghetti sauce that she brought from Italy and I have been eating since---maybe birth. I'm sure it's not to everyone's liking but in my family it is THE SAUCE. Anyway on subject--in an effort to save this family treasure on something other than a recipe card and in an effort to decorate with purpose (learned that from RiverRat), I am handwriting it and having it aged, enlarged, matted, and framed or put on canvas.

Didn't you ask what the problem was with her attempt(s)? If the problem is something like seasoning, then all the recipes in the world won't help. Some people like minimal seasoning. Some consider "barbecue" chicken to be a chicken with BBQ sauce poured on it. Some insist it has to be smoked. Some do a BBQ seasoning. Or any number of other ways. Maybe she burned it on the grill? Maybe she undercooked it? Too much seasoning or too little? Too much of one thing and not another? Or maybe she expected it to taste like her favorite restaurant or family/friend would make and it didn't? I'd start by determining what the problem is first, then try to suggest ways to solve it.

Packaged broth, tinned corn, ? come on, you are a great cook. : ) Costco rotis can be picked of the meat, chill that separately, then make stock from the carcass. But you have an HMart. Add good meaty bones to the chicken carcass. I stopped by HM on the way home tonight. DH hit the Italian butcher. We have so many meaty bones I'll have to freeze some. Pork necks, beef bones, chicken paws...so much natural gelatin I can cut it with a butter knife. We are making kimchi, krauts, and bone broth this weekend for the holidays...a quarter cup minced kimchi and gingered miso, rich bone stock, is all I want in my sipping broth if feeling weak. Some protein and veg solids on the way-to-recovery-days. Might be the flu. Sounds miserable. Make the best, don't compromise. I would not bother freezing experiments with misc veg, cabbage.. Freeze the good stuff. Good broths. Add fresh veg to a sautéed mirepoix, then good bone broth.

and of course anyone can install the kindle for pc absolutely free and read any kindle format book on their computer, laptop or netbook or tablet.

but since that is actually a pdf file pretty much anyone can save it and read it as is. And I did save it to my pc looks like it has some good recipes in it.

Since I am new to ereaders (Kobo) how would I go about putting this on my ereader.

cherryfizz, with a Kindle, you plug it into your computer. When your computer open the prompt box, choose "open to view folders". The you just copy and paste the .pdf file into the folder than contains your books on you Kindle. It *may* be the same way for Kobo's and Nooks.

Oh, and me brag about owning a Kindle? me? ME? NeeeVEr! LOL
