Finished! Transitional white marble bathroom
Comments (90)thanks LC! I'm pretty sure we used a pencil tile (if you look at the photo of the bathtub you will see it running along the top edge) but I don't think we could use it around the edges of the shower as we were constrained by the window. So we just had our tile installer finish the edges nicely and caulk around them. beaniebakes, the penny tile bathroom is in progress (finally!) I should have a finished thread soon for that bath....See More98.627% Finished Kitchen - Transitional White Inset w/ glass tile
Comments (136)Thank you all again for the compliments, it's been a long time and I wanted to reply to a couple of questions. go_figure, the dimensions of the oven/pantry cabinetry is 16 feet. The range cabinetry is 10 feet. The island is slightly over 7' long by 3' wide. Regarding the red espresso machine, we LOVED that machine and tried to make sure we matched some red items with it. Sadly it died about 18 months ago. We replaced it with a bland silver espresso machine which actually produces much better coffee. We still can't get ourselves to throw away the broken red machine so it sits in our basement knowing it will never get fixed... Thanks again all, and best wishes on all of your remodels!...See MorePictures of my almost finished off white kitchens - 2 questions f
Comments (17)Hello Everyone: I took a snapshot to highlight my concerns as I don't think I was clear enough in my initial post. Here's a close up of the valance (in the specs it should have been flush with the doors to give it a framed look): End of Cabinet Run: the toe kick is recessed and I wanted them to finish it off: To answer some other question: - Kitchen Cabinet/Wall colour - Benajamin Moore - White Down (CC-50) - Island is a stained maple (colour: Brown Mahogany) - Floor is red oak, 4 inches wide (stain name is Antique Brown from Dura Seal) - Countertops: we chose Calcatta Marble for the perimeter and Antique Nordic Black for the island - it looks honed (see picture below) - All that's left to do is pick the knobs (I want to go with glass knobs for the uppers) and satin nickel handles for the drawers) Any thoughts/suggestions? I love looking at knobs/handles -- is that weird?...See MoreSeeking Guidance for 'Traditional/Transitional' Kitchen Faucet
Comments (21)And I will agree with jrueter and kristine2009- I have Delta and love it. I replaced my kitchen faucet with the Delta Saxony which I feel like I get a commission from recommending it so much but really its a good one and might even satisfy your style requirements. The faucets we are replacing all happen to be low grade builders models from when we built the house 20 years ago and I think only one was replaced due to a leak (and we have 4 bathrooms, kitchen sink, laundry sink you get the idea)- all the others are still functioning fine - just time to update. I would most definitely buy Delta again and I hear comparable things about Moen which is what the bathroom contractor seems to prefer. Here is a link that might be useful: delta saxony...See MoreAdrienne Gray
