Survivor

I loved it. Sunday's show should be very good. Ashley lucked out winning immunity. This game can turn on a dime. I was glad to see Ralph leave and I hope Mike comes back from Redemption Island but I still want Rob to win.

I would like Rob to win too, but not sure who on the jury would vote for him. I think Natalie could win the million if she is in the final three or whoever from redemption island get backs in and makes it to the final three. I am excited to watch the finale on Sunday!

I think Rob made a huge mistake voting Grant out, and I think he knew it. Natalie would not have won at redemption island, but Grant very well could. Then the votes most likely would go to Grant. I wonder if it's going to be a 3 person finale like they have done in the past? Can't wait for Sunday.

This season was the closest I came to watching Survivor, and I came in late. I’m kind of regretting that I didn’t get sucked in years earlier. (It’d take one monumental binge to catch up, huh?) I wasn’t liking Savannah when I joined but she grew on me and I think she absolutely deserved it. Rizo gets on my nerves, too. He seems to think that his getting to the final four was important to all of Albania, so I hope they’re having a good day. “And now Rizo’s fire starting to grow…“ well after Savannah’s win, that cracked me up.

@sushipup2 & @dedtired I don’t watch any reality shows or Survivor but I just read a book that the two of you might like because of its plot. It’s a murder mystery & the setting is a reality show called ”Exposure”. There are 7 contestants & the setting is in the Welsh mountains. Quick read & likeable characters. I’ve posted about it in Annie D’s book thread.

Emily is the reason they lost the challenge. She masterminded voting out Q, the only strength the group had besides Ozzy. Didn't she even say something last week to the effect that it didn't matter that they were voting out their strength? Hope it doesn't come back to bite Christian. He should've voted her out when she blabbed his plan the second time.

" All i want is for Rizo or Coach to go home. " I echo this, dedtired! I thought it was interesting, sending Ozzie to Exile island and thereby ensuring he wouldn't be voted out. And, his reason for picking Rizo to go with him made sense, since that season had not been aired when these guys were playing. I wonder, if he'd known that being exiled would SAVE them both, if he would have chosen someone else.

I'm excited also. After all these seasons, I still love this show. It really can change in the blink of an eye. But I still say I cannot stand Rob. His arrogance is offensive. So is his voice, haha. Looks like Mike may be the thorn in the side the way he keeps willing on Redemption. I would be very happy to see Mike win. Or Matt.

Ashley did luck out, but she probably brightened up about blindsiding Rob a little too late to do anything about it. I doubt she can turn Natalie, but stranger things have happened. Natalie could end up winning it. I think the only thing going against her is her age, at 19 people may not think she can deal with a million in what they would consider a wise way.

    Can't wait for Sunday!

I am so tired of listening to Rob yammer away. They should have just called it the Robvivor Show.

Most boring season ever. No one really playing and if they are the heavy edit still remains on Rob so who knows.

I want to watch the game being played. I resent being treated like an idiot by the producers who seem to think that all the viewers care about is the outcome. Some of us want to see the game dammit. Otherwise we'd just be watching some stupid talk show featuring Rob. Maybe he could go on Oprah. I don't watch her. They could complement each other with their delusional and narcissistic behavior.

Rob is only in control because the producers found a bunch of stupid people to make him look in control. My turtle who does nothing but eat and poop would look smart on Survivor this season placed with the tribe that wasn't. LOL

I'm pulling for Rob. He has played a smart game this season. (I couldn't stand him the first time he played.) I would rather go back to the old format. I don't really like Redemption Island. And why are there 4 people there? Looks like there should never be more than 2. It also seems that every challenge involves a puzzle. I'm really tired of the whole puzzle thing. Put those people back in the water. Oh, I guess that's not a good idea with all the gators lurking about. LOL!

If it was up for votes from the audience, I'd choose one of the three: Matt, Mike, Grant.

I am with wildchild on this one.I'm tired of Rob trying to run the show. How hard is it to control a bunch of ne're do wells. Those girls have just been lagging behind everyone else but I don't see a jury giving Rob the money. They all know that he won (actually his wife) before and they are going to want to give it to someone else. Just because he has been trying for 10 years I don't think is reason enough to give it to him. If he an Amber can't live comfortably with the after taxes stash from $1 million from the previous show then I feel sorry for them. Time for someone else. I hope the kid that they all sent to Redemption Island comes back and kicks their butt...especially Rob's.

wildchild I share your thoughts! I did not sign on to watch the ROB show I wanted to watch survivor, at least when Russel was on the show it was a GAME show not a zombie show.
I hope Grant does find out that ROB is the one that turned on him, last night he said he thought it was Phil, well dude it was your dear leader Rob that threw you under the bus.
If the jury does give it to Rob then they have been drinking the Rob zombie juice.

I just wonder if he is that controlling with Amber and others in his life. The guy is a total control freak. He does not even allow them to speak to each other with out knowing exactly what was said. And we all know he has been leaching off of Amber!

I would love to see Matt win but Mike would be ok too.

It's almost as if the producers have set this one up for Rob to win it. Those others couldn't put an idea together if survival did depend on it.
So if Rob doesn't win, doesn't that make him 0 for 6 on reality shows? (including Amazing Race)
I almost hope he wins, then goes home and stays there so I never have to hear that whiny voice again.

Rob is doing everything right, for Rob. Given the people on his team and the way he gets them to listen to him and do what he wants, he deserves to win. The fact that they are too stupid to do otherwise is their problem, not his. He's playing them and the game, perfectly, so far.

Puzzles are good for him, but just being good at puzzles didn't get him up that flight of stairs- drive, stubbornness and tenacity did. The man has a personality that charms most people and annoys some, but it's obviously working in his favor. And everything he says and does seems to be in good spirit, not mean or snarky or ugly, just matter of fact. So I don't think too many people on the jury hate his guts. They might not like the game he played, but if they're honest, they'll have to admit that he was darn near flawless at it.

I disagree with the people who are thinking that someone shouldn't win because they don't need the money or won't manage it well. It's not a charity game. You should win because you played a good game and outwitted, outplayed and outlasted the others.

Most people would have to admit that Rob has done just that. So far, anyway. Fingers crossed that Rob wins. I think he's been delightful to watch and listen to. He's so funny, he cracks me up.

Gosh, what goofy visuals last night. Butts up in the air, sniffing armpits, ew! Are they that used to the cameras that they forget they're being filmed?

I don't really care who wins but it has been an interesting season.

Rob has played the game according to rules and if others follow his advice (we can call it advice) it is their choice to not play their own game.

Grant shocked and blaming Phillip. !!!LOL Well who didn't see it coming as soon as Ashley got the immunity necklace. The guy was a threat more so than the gals in physical challenges and Rob couldn't take another challenge like the steps.
I think if the girls go after Rob and are dumb enough to try to get Phillipe's not needed vote, Phillip will go along but tattle and Rob will finally use that hidden immunity idol.
Ralph played a good game. To bad his puzzle last night depended on being able to spell as much as, or more than, the shapes of pieces. I would have loved to see him win just because he was such an underdog. It is a shame many people call him stupid because of his spelling and accent. He isn't stupid just not well educated.

Sunday night is going to be interesting to say the least.

I'm still pulling for Rob but I'm not so sure he'll make it to the end.

As far as all the puzzles go, Jeff Probst twitters live during the show and he answers questions and provides some insight into the show that we wouldn't normally know. Someone asked why so many puzzles and he said that it was VERY hot there, often in the 110 range and that the players were already very fatigued and weak because of lack of food so they could not do physical challenges because of the heat. They were too at risk of heat stroke. And he said they couldn't do water challenges because of the currents and waves. He said the water just wasn't safe for their challenges, so they had to do more mental challenges than physical ones.

Anyone who wins deserves it. I think Rob deserves it just as much as anyone else. This really needs to be Rob's last season as a contestent. He'd be great in another role. I'm not sure he'd be a good blogger or tv host. Maybe they could cast him as a high priest or something on the island and whoever got to spend the night away from camp could come and get his wisdom.

I've never agreed about being more deserving to win because of personal finances. It is all in how you do on the island. Regardless, $1M doesn't go far particularly after taxes. I don't think Rob and Amber have any of the original money left unless it was invested somehow.

Rob has probably been handed a win this season unless someone from Redemption Island is in the final three. If someone from RI is in the final three, that person will win. If Rob gets voted out and no one from RI isther, Phile will win.

It's been hot and miserable other seasons also. They made water holes for water challenges in other seasons. Those are lame excuses from Jeff. I honestly believe they have slanted this season in Rob's favor. If Rob would have been on the other tribe, with older, wiser people, and they wouldn't have had so many puzzle challenges, he would have been gone as fast as Russell was.

I really do hope that Rob does not win. And if they would be dumb enough to ever bring him back again, I'm sorry to say I would not watch. At least not until he was voted out! Which makes me very sad because I do love this show.
