same color looks different in 2 rooms

Hi. Thank you to all who answered my question of whether I should put the same color in two rooms that open up to each other. I decided to go with your suggestion and put Lenox Tan in my living room and family room. The problem is the family room was recently sheetrocked and has a primer on the wall. The living room has Sherwin Williams Bosc Pear on the wall which is a deep goldish brown. The Lenox Tan is lighter than the Bosc Pear and just looks grey on the wall. In the family room against the primer and less natural light it looks like a very deep brown. The entire wall has not been painted yet but it is a pretty distinct difference. Should I withold judgement until the entire rooms are painted or should I make a switch now? My painter told me he is not planning on priming over the Bosc Pear color.
