I think our count may be 9 so far (unofficially, of course!)!! The more the merrier, gang!! What more could you ask for than gourmet meals, beautiful scenery, and 4 days of quilting!!!

Has anyone heard from Georgia? Would be nice if she could come back too.

I'd like to encourage other forum members to try and come to the forum retreat October 8-11 of 2009 at Camp Cheerio in Glade Valley, North Carolina. This is a YMCA youth camp in a beautiful mountain-top setting. We will have a large area to ourselves to set up tables for our machines and all our "stuff." There may be space for quilters to sandwich and pin a quilt or you can bring hand work if you don't travel with a machine. The meals are wonderful and the lodgings are comfortable and clean.

We would love to have more forum members attend! The price is very reasonable and you will have a great time!

I came all the way from Massachusetts and Faye came all the way from New Brunswick, Canada. It is so worth the effort.

And, I'll come all the way from California. It was great fun.

I should mention the excellent WiFi in that room, plus a large flat panel TV for the lounging.

Don't forget Sharon! She and Clay were so helpful to me loading up all my stuff in the car at the close of the retreat. Thanks again, Sharon and Clay!

Glad it will be in Oct and a little cooler than Sept!

Beverly, DH said you better watch out when the kids get old enough to sit on his lap and listen to the stories he makes up. He started in with our 11 yo DGD when she was little and she has won awards for writing. We're still on the fence for Oct.....

The fence is very uncomfortable --you'd be much more comfortable at Retreat in Oct.! We have a storyteller in our midst! Great! Maybe Clay can come up with a "Stitching Story"!

There are, also, some other little surprises being planned!
