Hey there everyone. Hope all the moms out there had a great Mother's Day. My day was great....spent with my family, my parents, in-laws and brother & his girlfriend. Nice relaxing day.

I haven't been around here much but thought I'd pop in and say hello and post a few new pics. Kids are doing great. Camryn is such a little girl now. She's changed so much and has really developed a great personality. It's so fun to watch her change. Grant is doing good. I find it so hard to believe he's going to be 4 in a couple months. He's so smart and mechanically inclined. He definitely has his dads DNA!! No questioning whether or not my IVF lab gave me the wrong embryo! LOL. He's not into taking pictures much these days but here's a few.

It's so good to "see" you again, Steph! And the kids are just adorable. Promise you'll post photos of them at least once a month, ok?

Yes, but if they thrive, and I hope they do, you’ll have to replant them in a bigger pot before too long. My understanding is that young roses of whatever size need to grow roots right away, before they put energy into canes and blooms, so it’s best to give them more room right away and avoid the shock of another transplant down the line. Six hours of sun, lots of fresh outdoor air, and thorough soaking at the root level once or twice a week: that’s all they need this spring and summer. most people would suggest you go to helpmefind.com with the names that came on the labels of your roses, and use their Plant Search feature for more info. There is a miniature Rose forum on this platform as well. Have fun! Minis are a lot of reward in a small space.

I never really had a green thumb and had given up on plants. Two years ago I got one houseplant for each of our 11 grandloves. I didn't put much effort into learning about them at that time, but paid attention enough to keep a few of them alive. One in particular, my purple passion (her name is Pamela) caught my eye because she made her way into two other pots and was so beautiful (she's all back together in one glorious pot). I then did some research on the plants I had and took care of them accordingly. They began to thrive! I then found that I have a love for rescuing doomed plants. I have a peace lily who was a complete goner and now she just threw her second leaf. I would say my favorite plant is Simon, my heartleaf philodendron. Parts of him now live with my son and daughter in law. I love trailing/vining plants, but every one I have is special! I have a decent assortment, but I'd really love more! We're on social security, so I have started several of my babies from cuttings, successfully. My dream plant is a monstera. Thanks for setting me straight as to how to post here. This is my very first experience. I hope I didn't offend anyone!

We do need more context to make solid recommendations. What are you doing with the floor? What style of decor are you leaning towards. More pictures of the room, etc. With that said, You will need to replace the hearth, otherwise the fireplace becomes unusable for gas or wood burning. Here are some ideas assuming you will be adding wood floors. Option #1: If you do not add a hearth, you cannot burn wood or gas in the fireplace. The option would be to add an Electric Fireplace Insert that does not require a hearth. This also shows the mantel being lowered. Option #2: This shows a slate hearth flush with the floor. The Custom Fireplace Doors will cover the exposed bricks at the bottom. You will need to clean the bricks on the bottom left and right better. All of the bricks are going to need cleaning anyways. Mantel is at same height. Option #3: This shows a raised hearth made from black slate with Custom Fireplace Glass Doors. The mantel has been removed and artwork added. By: Fireplace Treatments

They are beautiful children!!! It's obvious that those two have the same parents, so the IVF lab gave you the right embryo both times.

How much longer can I refer to Grant as 'adorable'? lol Maybe I should start saying he's a handsome young gentleman. But I think that I can keep on calling Camryn adorable for a long, long time. (Can she hula?)

I'm glad you had a great Mother's Day. Those babies keep growing too fast. I love that last picture, too. Something about siblings taking care of each other is so sweet to see. I bet Camryn's a laugh a minute. She just has that look!
