Photo dummy needs help...again!

I want to print out four 3x5's on one sheet of 8 x 10 photo paper and each pic is from a different folder. I can't drag one photo from a folder and put it into another folder, I guess.

I made a new folder, thinking I could drag each photo from each folder into the new one, thereby combining them into one folder. Doesn't seem to work that way.

I have Windows XP, the Photo Wizard that comes with it, and Adobe Photoshop. Also because my printer is HP, there's an HP Photo place, too. I'm not having any luck with any of them.

I'm done for the night, though, and am going to bed. I'll check for any responses tomorrow. Hope you can help!

Not knowing what version of Photoshop you have - I will try this using the basic Windows print wizard and putting them all into one folder.

Create a new folder (probably in My Pictures). Since you are having trouble dragging them over - lets try "copy"

Click on the picture you want, so that it is hightlighted, then RIGHT CLICK on it and select COPY. Go to your new folder and click PASTE. Repeat with your other photos.

Then you can go to the Windows print wizard to print your 3x5's onto one sheet.

What kind of Photoshop do you have? Elements? Album? CS? It would probably be pretty easy to create a full size page in PS, open your pics, then size them to 3x5 to print.

Thank you, Iowagirl. By using copy and paste, I was at least able to separate the folders that I'd inadvertently combined thinking that I'd get all individual pics into one folder. Instead, I got 3 folders put into 1 folder. Sheesh!

I have Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 I think my problem is that when I click to open My Pictures folders, they open into Adobe Photoshop, and I can't seem to copy and paste from that. It wasn't that way until I started messing with Adobe PS, but I don't remember how they opened.

I think it was Windows Fax and Viewer. ( Is that what it's called?) Can you tell me how to reset where my folders open? Whatever I had before was easier for me to work with.

need 2, I didn't even look at the picture b'c I know that all of the folks I know in the LA are sow their seeds around Xmas and plant out the seedlings by the end of Jan up to about the first of March b'c they have to get them out there before the HOT weather hits and no pollination can take place and growth of the plants themselves slows considerably. A few years ago I was invited to do a dog and pony show at Hortus Nursery, not that far from pacific Palisades where the plants were still for sale when I was there, which was early March. Hortus went under but the weather remains the same. And there are several places in CA, including the LA area where Tomatomania holds their plant sales as well as the ones in Long Beach, and all are held in the Feb/march time span/ So at this point I don't know what to tell you to do but I wouldn't have much hope of any tomatoes in the LA area doing well in your HOT summers. Boy! I did a lousy job of describing what my problem was! lol The machine is working like a dream and I am using a walking foot. I was just having problems with the actual quilting, as in pattern and where to start/stop. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Sigh... I'll post a picture when I'm done. Chemically speaking, this soil isn't in bad shape. Phosphorus is perfect, calcium is a little low but nothing that needs correcting at this time--due to the high magnesium. I'd like to give it a year for the magnesium to adjust itself, if it's going to, at which point we can decide on what to do. It won't be a problem to wait. Really, there's only one single correction...boron. Boron <0.2: We use Milorganite as a carrier and 20 Mule Team Borax as the boron source. You can purchase 20 Mules at the grocery store in the laundry section. In a wheelbarrow or the like, dump the Milo. Spraying very, very lightly with water (I use a spray bottle like the kind people use to damp their clothes when they iron) will help the boron stick. Add the recommended amount of 20 Mule Team Borax and stir, spraying occasionally to get the stuff to stick to the Milo. Then apply over the recommended area. So if going for bag rate Milorganite (1 bag per 2,500 square feet), you'd add 10 tablespoons of 20 Mule Team Borax. So... April 15: Apply 4 tablespoons of 20 Mule Team Borax per thousand square feet.

To reset how your pictures open:

Right click on a picture (don't double click to open it, just right click on it)

A menu will pop up - choose OPEN WITH, then on the next menu select CHOOSE PROGRAM and it will open another box and you can select WINDOWS PICTURE AND FAX VIEWER. Click OK

Your pictures should then open up the way you like.

By Jove, Iowagirl, I think I've got it! In fact, you posted at the same time I'd figured it out. You got me right clicking, which was what I needed to do. I always forget about that!

Anyway, I'm back on Picture and Fax Viewer and am able to drag photos, so I have the ones I want to print in a separate folder so I can put them all on one page.

So, Eureka! Hallelujah! And, thankee very much!
