Need lighting and electrical placement in dining room

The dining room is being built right now, and the electrician came over today to look it over. Both he & my dh think there need to be more lights than just the chandelier. The room is 10x12-ish. I thought one light fixture in the center would be enough, along with accent lighting inside the china cabinet. The electrician suggested spots around the perimeter.

Instead of corner cabinets, there will be a very shallow display/china cabinet all across the end wall, with glass shelves and glass doors on top. He suggested puck lighting in there, but I'm afraid it will get too hot in such a small enclosed space.

And then there's the outlet placement. I thought two on each end of the window walls.

What have you done in small dining areas?
