Need advice on curtain length

I need to buy curtains for a room with three windows. Two of the windows need a 63" length curtain to reach the bottom of the sill and one needs only a 54" length curtain to reach the bottom of the sill. The two windows needing the longer length are on the front of the house and the one needing the shorter length is on the side of the house.

Would it look okay to have one of the curtains shorter than the other two, or would it look better to have them all the same 63" length? I know it would look the same from the outside of the house in either case, but just wonder what would look better inside the room.

For details, the room is a blue gray color, medium hue (SW Krypton) and I am planning to purchase ivory curtains. They will be pinch pleated curtains. It's a bedroom and the bedding is a print with colors of sage green, blue, and light yellow on an ivory background (Croscill Spa Leaf).

I have had floor length drapes in there for a long time, and was thinking sill length curtains would provide a fresher look this time around, but would appreciate opinions on whether floor length curtains would be the right choice.

Personally, I would stick with the floor length on all the windows. Having the longer curtains would bring less attention to the different sizes of the windows.

I am thinking that floor length all the way around would be the best option. Is there anything 'odd' with the room that would make the sill length preferable? Do you have pictures of the room?

I make awnings and canopies for a living. We routinely make screen panels, too. Generally, they zip onto a canopy/awning and have a weight rod that is inserted through a casing stitched to the hemline of the screen. The weight rod won't work for you since you swag the screen to the sides when you aren't sitting out there. I suggest you purchase lengths of chain cut to the lengths required. Pull it through a casing and it will bundle up effectively enough to permit "swagging". You may want to add a few ties along the length that will allow you to secure it and prevent too much billowing in windier conditions.

Not sure if this will be of any help considering all the great advice you've already gotten, but since I did this at my previous house, I thought I'd pipe up. I had a typical shower, tub enclosure, but wanted the curtain to fall to the floor. I also wanted the extra-long fabric curtain to be rather full, so I joined two widths. I believe I used a two inch header and used grommets with essentially the same spacing as used on commercial shower liners, so almost twice as many grommets as a liner would have. I hung both the curtain and the liner from a single shower rod using the old fashioned roller "rings." But while the curtain hung from all the rings (a ring for every grommet), the liner was only attached to every other ring. That way the liner was spread out flat when in use, but the curtain remained somewhat gathered. Wow. It's difficult to explain, but it worked great.

Thank you everyone for your feedback! I think my plan is to return these ones, and either look around for a more suitable curtain or sew some. I'll raise the rod to the ceiling and widen it, then have the curtains come just to the ledge. It's not perfect, but we're in a rental, and it will be a lot better than it was! I really liked the look of roman shades, but unfortunately I think they're out of the budget- especially as these windows don't seem to be the standard sizes the shades come in, so it would have to be custom, which I'm not willing to invest in in a place I don't want to be long term. For curtains, I liked the idea of the pattern because it has a nice red/rust colour in it and a blue, which are the accent colours I'm trying to pull in to the room. I find the room to be quite dull- doesn't get a ton of light, has wall to wall beige carpet, and white walls. I want to pull some colour in to it and liven it up a bit! I'll be looking to get an area rug at some point too, so maybe I'll do something with more of a pattern for the rug and plainer for the curtains. So if I've resigned to having curtains, I guess my next question is, do I go a similar colour to the wall (white/off white), or a solid colour (which one?), or different pattern...? This question frequently comes up. It is such a personal decision based on whether or not you need heat/light/privacy control. Do you open your windows? Do you want to see your view? What kind of look do you prefer? I do not use any shades that can be seen during the day. They come down in the bathrooms after dark. I greatly dislike shades that cover the windows 24/7. How do your window treatments look from the outside? I always prefer curtains or shutters because I like that look. Dark blinds or shades create a cave-like feeling. Do you want light/bright interiors?

dilly_dally, the windows are traditional. I was just toying with the idea of change. I appreciate the comments recommending floor length. I was just hoping to save a bit of money with sill length, but I will bite the bullet and spend extra for the floor length because that will unify the different sized windows better.

Dissenter here, although my reason is that my windows are more obviously different sizes, on the front it is 63in long to sill but 120ish wide. the other window on the side is 120 wide but 24 inches to sill. ( very old house can you tell) I have valances on both and lace to the sill on both. of course the jabot hits the sill on the short window. I do have an old upright grand in front of the short window now so it does look ok.
Long way to go to say I think it depends on how your furniture is arranged and what may interfere with full length. I have radiators in front of the 63 window.
I also don't think 10 inches will make that much of a difference and would be easy to disguise with a table or chair in front of the shorter window.
oh my room is the dining room if that helps.
